Haloscan was the commenting platform of the first iteration of MGoBlog.  In 2007, during the first coaching search, a core group of us would basically spend all day waiting for Brian to make a new post on the blog, which would cause us to jump to that new post and make comments on it.  There was no forum topics, and were no diaries.  You just commented on Brian's posts, with the invevitable "first" attempted if you thought you were the first commentor on a new post.

It was all rather primitive, in hindsight.  But man, I wish I would have kept an archive of all the comment threads on posts.  Some funny, funny stuff.

Fondly. I would jump back and forth between mgoblog and mlive, and then in 2008 I realized I wasn't 12 and stopped posting on mlive.... I do sometimes miss being 12 but I don't miss all the trolls.

"I used to stare down at that field as I was stenciling those numbers," Harbaugh told reporters, athletes and others who crowded into the Arrillaga Family Sports Center's Kissick Auditorium. "I so very badly wanted to go to Stanford and play for the Cardinal. … This was my number-one choice all along."

He's already had his dream job in college, and it wasn't Michigan. He ain't coming here.

With that one simple remark about him wearing a Maize undershirt, the amound of views will increase by 50k for this simple article.

Downsize the department back to where it was under Martin, fire most of that bloated marketing staff that Brandon hired, take those savings and give Jim a blank check.

Maybe he's going to go coach at Cal so that he can beat up on the Stanford program he built? :)

In all seriousness, just make this happen.  For the love of all that is good in the world, get Harbaugh here.

For all of the skepticism I have expressed about JH coming to Michigan, the guy has boundless enthusiasm and energy, as well as a genuine mean streak, and I would love to have him coaching our guys.

"The San Francisco 49ers returned from their bye week on Monday and held a light practice at their facility that ended with a team photo of all the players who earned degrees wearing their respective college colors

And yes, coach Jim Harbaugh had on his Michigan colors underneath his 49ers fleece."

Everyone was doing it. It's a non-story.

Um.... (front row, second guy).

Am I missing something or does grey fleece with a Michigan shirt underneath really mean grey shirt without a Michigan shirt underneath.
