The SEC is a regional conference filled with mediocre academic institutions. The ACC (with ND, Stanford, Cal, UVA, UNC, and Ga Tech) makes much more sense. Its also now a national conference stretching from coast to coast. The All Coasts Conference. Michigan and Notre Dame can represent the North Coast.

I frankly agree.  They can't stay in this disaster of a conference any longer.  You can't trust a single person or entity associated with this insanity.  I would do everything we can to GTFO as soon as contractually possible.

Thought a little levity was needed.  Apologize if it came off poorly.

I have faith in

1) m lawyers being smarter than big lawyers and if that fails

2) our team will unmercifully eviscerate the competition and

3) this will only fuel one jmf harbaugh to even greater heights.

I see no reason to continue to subsidize teams/schools that do not bring in similar levels of revenue in the name of solidarity. For what, tradition and shared history?  Sorry, we can’t reach those things due to the dagger in our back.

Honestly....the multi-team collusion against M, the bullshit cheeseburger suspensions, and this....not to mention various other bullshit going back....decades?

Does it really make sense to stay in the B0G?

If we start the process of moving to the ACC...I know the immediate $$ doesn't look as rosy, but add ND full on, Stanford....I guess Cal if you have to, but the TV rights for those first seasons would be astronomically valuable. We would easily get a larger payout share at/close to what we get in our equal share arrangement from the The Big Zero where we carry so many deadweight teams that, let's face it....are freeloaders and seasonal fodder and never going to amount to anything but an anchor in terms of revenue.

Fuck them.

Hockey would be welcome with open arms anywhere.

I'll bet you can get Fox Sports to cover the difference for the initial season while they sue for a reduction in their B1G $$ because of our departure.

Michigan/OSU have always been the brand and the draw, slightly different with the 4 west coast schools now, but M leaving still hugely diminishes the conference overall.
