Blake tweeted this; #picstitch Thank you all for the prayers and good luck wishes. My surgery went very well @ Kensington Court http://instagr.am/p/QX7wUtraEK/

We certainly wish him a speedy recovery! I hope that he comes back as last year's Countess next year. It seemed that Woolfolk never returned to 100% after missing a season.

Also, for those a little more familiar with AA, I am a little confused about the "surgery @ Kensington Court" part; I have stayed in the hotel Kensington Court before (it's a pretty great place)--- what exactly is Blake referring to?

BTW, my prediction; next year Countess returns as a beast. He then proceeds to follow his redshirt-sophmore season with a Woodson-esque junior year. (So continues the "we have the next Woodson" hype! I don't quite believe he will make freakish one-handed interceptions, but he should be one of the more solid UM corners we have seen in a while.)

If that is Lindsay on the screen, then she's way too old for it to be Parent Trap.  She was 11 when they filmed it.  She actually was (and looked like) a kid in that movie.

My daughters used to watch that movie only slightly less often than HSM (and if you have kids, you dont need me to say what that acronym stands for).  Fortunately, they've grown out of that phase.

Now, for my daughters, its all about My Cat From Hell, Dance Moms, and Toddlers & Tiaras.

Hope he gets well soon.  I expect it's not going to be next year, but the year after that he's back up to full speed.  Sometimes it really takes a while to 'trust' the joint again and go full-speed.  Saw that with Vincent Smith.  Wasn't really back to his full self until his junior year after the freshman year injury.

to be a long hard road with hours and hours and hours of rehab but if he puts in the time he will come back just as good.  Blake is the man and can be something special.

When I see ACL injuries I always think of that Willis McGahee injury in 2002 Fiesta Bowl, his knee just got destroyed and I could have sworn he was no longer playing football again.  I watched a documentary on his rehab and it was ridiculously hard but he has done pretty well for himself.

Does anyone know if he had any corresponding cartilage damage? When I tore my ACL at she 32, I was lucky to have no cartilage damage and my surgeon told me that was the reason I was able to bike 48 hours after my reconstruction. It was also the reason I was able to play an entire slow pitch softball season with my torn ACL before my surgery.

I'm no doctor but if he "just" tore his ACL, I'd expect him to be as good as new.

But you don't "need" an ACL to function in most things. There are certain cuts you can't make. My dad went a year before getting his ACL fixed in one knee and a high-school ACL tear in the other was never repaired. He has learned to live without the one ACL, and it's doable.

Blair (Spurs PF) is in the NBA with no ACLs.

That said, if there is a cartilage tear it would make recovery more difficult because your body has more "broken" tissue.

See, I thought they stopped making film-based cameras a couple of years ago, but apparently college kids have just been hoarding them and taking pictures with them, processing them in their own dark rooms, letting them artificially age a bit so that the color scheme goes a bit wonky, then posting them on the internet.

I think from the text of his tweet it sounds like he had his surgery, it went well, and he is recovering at the hotel Kensington Court.  That setup for the room he's watching TV on looks like a hotel room.  Maybe he wanted to recover where his family could stay with him?

I hope he is the "next Woodson," but until he impacts the game in all three phases and wins the Heisman perhaps we should adjust our expectations too just being a solid corner....
