1) Is that annual or the total package?
2) There's a Bitcoin bowl?!
December 26th, 2014 at 10:35 PM ^
In a house full of NC State alum and they are all watching the original Vacation instead.
December 26th, 2014 at 8:13 PM ^
This would be a lot more interesting if it were played in St. Petersburg, Russia.
December 27th, 2014 at 12:43 AM ^
doing the bitcoin flip?
December 26th, 2014 at 8:14 PM ^
You know there are too many bowls if Bitcoin is sponsoring a game.
December 26th, 2014 at 8:16 PM ^
The turf has some sort of disease it appears.
December 26th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
Or is it the lighting? Otherwise, that is some ratty turf.
December 26th, 2014 at 9:22 PM ^
Must be the lighting. I've been on this turf several times and it's actually pretty nice.
December 26th, 2014 at 9:46 PM ^
they were all over that guy who got the fingers in the eye, & all over his uniform. Yuck!
December 26th, 2014 at 8:20 PM ^
Ick. Isn't this played at Tropicana Field?
December 26th, 2014 at 8:24 PM ^
Pardon the language, but why the FUCK is there a bowl game in the Trop?!?!
December 26th, 2014 at 8:29 PM ^
I thought Bitcoins were fictitious but I guess I was wrong. How can an anonymous/de-identified currency sponsor a bowl? Bet this sponsor isn't around next year.

December 26th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
....in Tropicana Field's stately upper deck concourse...
December 26th, 2014 at 8:35 PM ^
It's amazing how bad stadiums built in the 1960s/70s/80s were/are.
They finally figured it out in the '90s.
December 26th, 2014 at 9:47 PM ^
It's amazing how bad almost anything built in the 60s-80s was.
December 26th, 2014 at 9:13 PM ^
That looks like any regular season Rays game where the opponent isn't the Yanks or Sox
December 26th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
Football is football, unless it's footbaugh!
December 26th, 2014 at 8:46 PM ^
Bitcoin bowl eh? For some reason this one sounds the weirdest
December 26th, 2014 at 8:55 PM ^
Any chance Roseboro flips if they lose this game?
December 26th, 2014 at 8:58 PM ^
I bet Roseboro, Weber and a few other guys get back in the fold if Harbaugh comes home.

December 26th, 2014 at 9:02 PM ^
Seriously the currency of drug dealers, money launderers and hit men has a bowl sponsorship?
December 26th, 2014 at 9:16 PM ^
So... how does this theoretical currency pay for their sponsorship? Betray all their libertarian beliefs and just, I dunno, write a check?
December 26th, 2014 at 9:29 PM ^
Check? They issue chits man.
December 26th, 2014 at 11:18 PM ^

OK, this one might be a little off the wall, but - I like what I'm seeing from the NC State QB. Any chance he's one of those graduated guys who could transfer to M for a final season, a la Russell Wilson?
EDIT: After further research, I guess this guy has transferred already. Don't know if that makes him inelgible to do it again? He DOES have a possible D.J. Durkin connection...
December 26th, 2014 at 9:36 PM ^
Bitcoin has a bowl? We should all chip in and sponser an MgoBlog Bowl.
December 26th, 2014 at 9:39 PM ^
Where do I send my 5 bitcoins?
December 26th, 2014 at 9:49 PM ^

I'm impressed.

Doeren is in year 2 at NC State and took over a pretty down program. Usually the good coaches will show you what they are in year 3-4. He is coming off 2 very big years at NIU where he followed Kill. He is a Wisconsin guy as well. If NC State can become relevant in 2015-2016 I expect Doeren to be called to greener pastures but it might be in the ACC as every major Big 10 program save MSU has changed coaches in the past 3 years. PSU Nebraska or Wisconsin would all be good fits for him in 2 years but I guess unless Franklin bombs those won't be open.
I did an in depth profile of him in the diaries area about 2 months ago - I think this was right after NC State went out to a huge lead on FSU before imploding at the end. I watched their game vs Clemson a week or 2 later and NC State just didnt have the athletes to stay on the field.
I will be watching Mark Stoops in a similar fashion in years 3-4 of his regime at UK. Those 2 could be 2 big names (if their programs continue to rise) in the 2015 and 2016 coaching searches.
December 27th, 2014 at 1:08 AM ^
All praise to the work you've done on the CC, alum, but I'm SERIOUSLY hoping to not read another coach profile for at least 5 years!
December 26th, 2014 at 11:49 PM ^
That was a pretty good game. Congratulations to NC St.
December 27th, 2014 at 11:51 AM ^
This was a terribly bad football game.
