Biff Poggi to Football Coaching Staff
I didn't see anyone else post this; I'm a little surprised by that.

Basically, the head coach of a HS national power (and reliable pipeline sending players to Michigan) is coming to Harbaugh's staff as a consultant and mentor for young coaches. He wants to be near his daughter as she attends Michigan, and he wants one more go round on a big time staff (he's in his early 60s). He was on Harbaugh's staff a few seasons ago when his son played here.
I dunno. It sounds a little bit like Michigan wants an experienced, established coach on hand in case an interim HC is necessary. Wonder if Jim is as onboard with this as the interview of Pogi implies.

Well the previous post was unclear and says only "Biff Poggi Returning"... returning what? library books? returning to the scene of the crime? circling the block in his car to repeat a right turn on red on to Telegraph that he just really enjoys?
I think the unreturned library books sealed the decision.

I think, despite all his HS success, Biff is not on any list (if there is one) to replace JH. He claims it's his last chance to get some college experience under his belt, but I doubt he is referring to the head coaching position at Michigan. We don't need a Gerry Faust.
Yeah, the whole idea of hiring a staffer before the season to be a possible interim coach is nutty. I think Poggi's title throws some people off.
Are they a reliable pipeline for us? Blake Corum is our only rostered player from their right?
