Part of me wonders if Ryan Day is just going to phone it in now. I mean maybe he has? Could he be feigning devastation and secretly going home to Scrooge McDuck into his pile of gold?

Love it and well done baseball twitter

They better be careful though, the conference might think this is unsportsmanlike. I’m sure the osu AD and Tony P will talk about this over brunch

What I like about this is they correctly positioned Day as the baserunner and not the third baseman or the third base coach. Guess that's what happens when it comes from baseball people.

Sources in Columbus say that Day is contemplating leaving.  He's taking a lot of flack and he's been very stressed in his job - being very argumentative and easily taking offense.

His preferred coach is someone who is mostly a yes man so I don't know that he will be able to attract a top OC.

Urban Meyer's son-in-law is the QB coach and is apparently very rude and not well liked by anyone at OSU.  From what I've heard he's very privileged and is an asshat (the son-in-law didn't fall to far from the tree!)

Most of the offensive coaching staff don't get along so if Day stays expect everyone not named Hartline to be replaced.

I saw a couple of tidbits that seemed interesting.

Against B1G teams not named “Michigan”, Day’s record is 40-0.   His true road record against teams not named Michigan is 20-0.

Of course, those figures change to 41-3, and 20-2 when Michigan is included in records.

Just wondering - who do the Buckeyes think would be a better coach than Day?
