Beat Indiana in Assembly Hall. That’s all I got.

Michigan corners the market on these types of losses so we all should be used to it across all sports.

Game was a microchasm of the season.

Terrified Kobe will leap up in the draft boards while never starting a game in the NCAA Tourney at Michigan. Hopefully he and Jett stay (with Jett learning rebounding and defense)

Gotta think if they end up not making the tourney it's gonna be tougher for them to leave. To play college and never even play in the dance? That would be tough. Bufkin especially needs to demonstrate he's got more juice because he doesn't have the size/athleticism combo Jett has that makes NBA teams salivate. Needs to show he can be Jordan Poole lite at least.  They have the exact same body.  Bufkin needs the moxie.  Took a big step in that area between last year and this year but needs more.

In basketball these days nothing is worse than a shot at the end of a tied game. Eventually its going to just be players holding the ball at half court and throwing it over their heads in hopes of everlasting glory.

Someone needs to sit these coaches/players down and have a moneyball talk with them.

When fans go looking for scapegoats after losses, facts aren't of so much interest.

The facts are that at the critical moment of the game, when the team needed someone to step up and give them a legitimate chance to win, Baker got an open look and completely missed everything. It didn't rim out, glance off the back iron, or rattle but not fall. It hit nothing but the floor when it landed.

Now, if someone tried to put the entire blame for the loss on Baker, that would be scapegoating. But criticism for failing so badly at that critical moment? Nope, he earned that.

Penn State got the road Q1 OT victory. Michigan didn’t. That’s the difference on who’s in the tournament and who’s out.

And had a home loss on Sunday to a mid-tier B1G team, whereas Michigan won in that same spot on the same day.

Utlimately, all of Wisconsin, PSU and Michigan (edit to add Rutgers here as they lost to Minnesota!?!?) are about the same team and in about the same spot.  None are in as of the moment, but they can get in even without winning the BTT.  Time and opportunity is running very short though.

Sure, and they gave up a 19-point lead over Rutgers (who just lost to Minnesota!) at home.  There's really no difference between any of these teams except one won their most recent game and the other lost.

At least with UM you can point to their age/lack of experience; PSU is one of the oldest, most-experienced teams in the country and they're still mediocre.
