Too many of you are losing your sh*t over a regular season loss that could very well mean nothing. Our guys are gassed. This is still an elite team deserving of a 1 seed, and we will do fine in the tourney.
Have we ever been 30 point underdogs before? I can’t imagine we have. Anyone know the most points the opponent has been favored by against us before this?
When is the last time we lost by 38 points? Maybe I am forgetting one, but I don't recall a margin of defeat this large since I started watching in the late 80s.
OOC games aren't our problem. Last I checked, we went undefeated OOC last year and lost three conference games. Even if you're referring to 2018, that ND loss is not the reason we missed the playoffs, getting smoked 62-39 was.
Also, Sparty's playoff appearance in 2015 was boosted by beating #7 Oregon OOC.
The only year we were close (2016), our non-conference schedule included three bowl teams, including Pac-12 South winner Colorado. Maybe, just maybe, playing real teams OOC prepared us for the B1G schedule rather than cupcakes that give us an inflated sense of confidence.
Who cares if we were 11-0 and then gave up 62 to OSU? Do you think we make the playoffs at 11-1 after getting shellacked?
Our problems over the past 20 years aren't because of OOC schedules. Its because OSU owns us. Playing more cupcakes doesn't solve the problem, it just makes the season more boring.
We really need to stop worrying about the committee since we're not even close to making the playoffs. What we should focus on is increasing fan interest and expanding our recruiting to the west coast. A home and home with UCLA does that. Playing fucking UConn is a lose dog move.
A home and home with a Power 5 school with a strong Michigan alumni base in the area would be great for fans, recruiting, and exposure. Something like UCLA...
Nobody cares about Harbaugh getting to ten wins. BFD.
Some of you make me sick. Let’s play the best and see if we can pull off the upset. That’s fun. Too many of you would rather play EMU and then pat yourselves on the back over some meaningless ten win bar.
Harbaugh is a good coach and I don’t think there is anyone better available. With that said, the idea that he’s the best coach we’ve ever had is fucking idiocy. Off to a better start? By what metric? Bo/Mo/Lloyd all made rose bowls in their first five years, and Lloyd won a natty for goodness sake.
In 2016, Bama opened against USC. In 2017, Florida State. Yes, those were neutral site games, but the Rose Bowl isn't exactly a tough place to play UCLA and their 17 fans.
We call ourselves the Leaders and Best, yet everyone on this thread is ecstatic about making the schedule easier. This is freaking UCLA we're talking about dumping, not Bama.
This along with the other thread with everyone pissing and moaning about some rain tomorrow night.
Our team might not deserve the label "soft," but a lot of you pansies sure do.
Impressive that you found a way to bash unions in your thinly veiled partisan rant. What business is it of yours or Engler’s what attorneys fees the Plaintiffs’ lawyers collected? That’s a contractual agreement between the Plaintiffs and their attorneys. His (and your) focus on attorneys’ fees is an attempt to muddy the waters and take the focus off of the horrible acts committed.
This is is one of the dumbest takes I’ve seen on this site. I went to law school at USC and was just down there for the Rams game on MNF. It’s not Beverly Hills, but it’s not like anyone associated with USC is getting pistol whipped on the reg.
Yeah the big difference is Lloyd still beat our rivals even in those 8-4 seasons. I’d have a lot more patience with JH if we could beat a decent Sparty team or OSU, but he’s been incapable.
In between episodes of Hannity, you may want to look up the definition of “fascist.”
this site has gone to hell. Thanks Brian. Now go ahead and ban me here like you did on twitter when i teased you for saying Speight was a Heisman candidate. According to this guy, that would be fascism too!

This is such a ridiculous post. First, it feeds into the stereotype of Michigan fans being terrible sore losers and blaming losses on refs. Second, if the roles were reversed and the call WASN'T reversed, Brian wouldn't be talking about any "Gentelman's Agreement" - he would be raging against the officials, per usual. Third, calling all referees in all sports idiots is about as fucking immature as it gets.

And beat a top 10 at the time Wisconsin team.
See if the Pistons can match the Lions’ win total. Michigan’s is out of reach.
Shades of Gavin Groninger
Are we better without Jett? Sure feels that way.
Classic Harbaugh collapse in progress
Steve & Barry's
We're up 11 at the half. Don't be a LOSE DOG

A bunch of nancys here. Don't be LOSE DOGS!

Sarcasm?
Nevermind - I just remembered we lost 42-13 to Penn State in 2017. Another Harbaugh/Don Brown classic.

Lol if we can't beat UCLA at home then we're not playoff caliber my friends.

this is crazy talk
I don't think a single road game against freaking UCLA is the reason we can't compete with Bama or OSU.
The Rose Bowl is basically a neutral site - its 45 minutes from UCLA's campus. Cmon man.
In 2016, Bama opened against USC. In 2017, Florida State. Yes, those were neutral site games, but the Rose Bowl isn't exactly a tough place to play UCLA and their 17 fans.

South Carolina begs to differ (Bama, UGA, Florida)
Nice of Metellus to give up and slow down while the ball was still in the air. Good effort.
Who the hell has Wisconsin beaten? Us? Sparty? Lol
Do you have a link?
You’re giving him credit and calling him a genius for reckless speculation bordering on slander? Strange.
Does Wisconsin pay kids? I’m so tired of this weak ass lose dog argument. Stop making excuses - we just suck

Because Brian is a ...
Given our record against OSU this century, the fear level should be 10 until further notice for the game
Fear Level 6 for this game, but 5 for Ohio State? Uh... okay buddy
And yet we beat OSU in the `shoe, so in my book it was a successful season.
This is is…
Cool story bro.

“Come down off that cross, Tom” was one of the few times Valenti was spot on
@OSU is a coin toss? What type of coin are you using?
We’d kill to beat OSU once every four years these days... not sure that stat says much about Braylon
We were favored last night and against Sparty last year and didn’t win either. Spare me the winning games we’re supposed nonsense.

What is the basis for your claim that ESPN is one of the worst sources for accurate reporting?

Remind me of Hannity & Combs
The only thing worse than being pwned by OSU is the fact that our fans bitch and whine about refs after every loss.
This isn't a math problem, champ. Giving up a 26-3 run to a LOSE DOG team is pathetic, no matter what happened before.
