B1G Hockey Championship Game

Submitted by Canadian on

The pregame show is on, the beer is cold, its Saturday night now lets win this fucking thing and get back in the big tournament.

whats on the line: Michigan NEEDS to win to make it into the NCAA Tournament. Minnesota will make the tournament with a win and have a strong chance of advancing even with a loss (it is NOT a given as there is one scenario where they could be left out).

this game will come down to goaltending. Racine needs to keep up his good play at the Joe but Michigan will need to keep the pressure on Wilcox (who looked like the Wilcox of old last night with the shutout against Ohio State) and fight for the rebounds in the crease.

I'm not going to bring up the running theme of these threads thursday and friday because we all get it and expected it.

WIN THE GAME!!!

We have looked dominated for the last 5 minutes or so. come on, we need momentum. and all game it's been incredibly obvious that they're playing a lower level of hockey. just can't corral the puck or crisply pass it etc. then we'll have a really good burst of good play. let's do that one.

We've had, what, one shift in the past 10 minutes where we've kept it in Minnesota's zone? They are clearly a lot better than us. We can't even pull the goalie.

Michigan fan, you sure do spew out more than your share of negativity.

"Of course it ends like this" sounds like you saying you shouldn't have wasted your time watching.  Next hockey season how 'bout sitting it out, if that's all you can bring.

That was posted when the slowest empty net goal in history went in.

No matter how pissed this team has made me this year, I have still watched every game. Even some of the stinkers early on.

I'm just sick of not making the tournament, having crap regular seasons and then the talented team we all know is there shows itself at the latest possible time.

Hockey is the #2 sport to me at Michigan. Based on success and my love of the game.
