Yeesh the NJ2A2 pipeline is off to a rough start. Confident Gary will single-handedly make up for it.
If he's gonna see the field a lot this season, he really needs both hands.
That and the whole Jabrill Peppers thing that started the whole NJ2A2
Actually it was Greg Froelich, the preferred walk on OL that opened the pipeline.
You're right, I should've specified that I meant from this recruiting class. I also confused Shelton Johnson with Ron Johnson.
That being said, 3 for 6 on the NJ recruits from 2016 still isn't stellar.

If it's something like grades, hopefully this is a wake up call to take the student part seriously. Especially to the freshman.
If it's something else, maybe missing the photo is part of the punishment. Regardless there's plenty of time for them to get their shit together before the season, especially since none will be major contributors.
I believe Shelton Johnson works at Yosemite during the summer months.
I'm by no means saying we should get close to UNC's level of stupidity, but if I ever hear a star player was riding the bench for missing class and their absence contributes to a lose I will be mildly upset about the decision to bench said dude

Yeah but they took the photo on Sunday. Unless they have Sunday classes now that I was unaware of.
Caught a whiff of some "incident" through these boards. I was unable to find anything concerning "it" online. Please post a link to a report assuming there is one.
This could explain why Shelton Johnson's weight wasn't updated from last year. This is a more likely explanation than "he literally gained zero pounds."
Sam said this was a "make or break" year for Johnson on his radio show. Said you wouldn't hear anything about him this year and he had some work to do. Fits in the general theme of him being in the doghouse. Combined with the lack of weight gain (212 for a DE), you get a picture of a guy working his way out of the system

I believe Walker will be fine. I hope he can fix the grade issue fast. He could be a contributor this year if he puts in the work.
Johnson and Mitchell dont really worry me. They need more time in the program to bulk up (Johnson) and adjust to their positions. Hopefully these issues will be over by next year for them.
Something tells me that Johnson didn't miss the team photo for being too light. Unless he was literally so skinny you just can't see him.
When you are freaking out about who's not in a team photo, it's time to chill. People had Ahmir on his way out back in June because of what they read on a message board or heard from someone playing Counter Strike. Can we let some 17-18 year olds go through some things without delving too deeply into it. Harbaugh knows what's going on and that's good enough for me.
It's about letting these kids adjust to college life without all their business being in the street. If that's what people want, they can jump in the Prince Fielder thread and have a field day. At least he's an adult.
