Ya except after cousins left they went 6-6 and lost every game at home.. They lose burbridge and kings.. All of their offensive line basically and a lot of their dline. Their secondary already sucks and none of their rbs are impressive. Explain to me how they will be any good? Other than the rest of the big sucking cock as usual

are so fucking ridiculous. They have blown Sparty all game long. How many times have injuries been mentioned? Disrespect? Blah, blah, blah. Fuck em

The two best Spartan QB's of all time. Just wait until they have to play with a QB that isn't really good. They will be brought back down to earth real quick.

cant wait to beat them in east lansing.... I'll take michigan by 10+ assuming o'korn is better than ruddock. O'korn doesnt have to be a super hero, but if he can be marginally better than ruddock we should handle sparty next year on their home field.

The final score is somewhat misleading. With five minutes to play, Michigan State was leading 31-26. Turnovers led to MSU’s last two scores.

Should there be any reason for Michigan to be concerned on the road against Indiana? Probably not, but you never know. I like Jim Harbaugh's attitude about having the team focus on preparing only for the next opponent. Next up is a game that's very important for Michigan in order to make sure that it doesn't fall victim to the old cliche about not having MSU beat them twice. For now, the focus probably is on returning the Little Brown Jug to its rightful place in Ann Arbor.

As for ihe stats in the Indiana-MSU Game: MSU had 33 first downs and converted on 13 of 30 third-down plays. Connor Cook was 30 of 52 for 398 yards and four TDs with no interceptions. The Spartans rushed for 142 net yards. Indiana’s Nate Sudfeld was 23 of 37 for 308 yards and three TDs with an interception. Jordan Howard, playing with an ankle injury, rushed 11 times for 78 yards. The Hoosiers converted on five of 11 third-down plays.

Indiana gets a bye next week before it hosts Iowa on November 7 and Michigan on November 14.

Watched the MSU game at my Sparty brother's house.  Damn, Cook is really great.  And his receivers make play after play too, but it's mostly all Cook.  When he can hit a 4 inch by 4 inch square most of the time with any throw it's hard to stop them.

Ohio State kills them though.

And defenders don't try to break up passes for other QBs?  This type of argument drives me crazy; it's basically "he'd have done better had UM not tried to stop him."  That's football, man.  Maybe if he threw some better balls, they would have been caught.  And I'd argue that Cook was bailed out with a couple of his throws just the same, so let's say they even out.

It also means your QB might be throwing the ball in such small windows that a competent defender bats it down.

Oregon had 6, IU had 5, Western had 7, AF had 3, CMU had 2, Purdue had 3, Rutgers had 3.  So while not 10, it isn't a crazy number especially given the fact he threw 19 balls at Burbridge and Lewis was responsible for 6 of those breakups.  My point isn't to say that Cook is a terrible QB, only that if you are going to hold him up as an elite QB with 1st-round NFL talent, I'm going to need to see more than a guy with a sub 60% completion and pedestrian passing statistics.

Stafford has/had a cannon.  Cook doesn't.

Cook is a better version of Cousins, which is great; you'll win a lot of games in college with a guy like that.  But I'm not jumping for joy if he's my NFL QB, which is where people are placing him.

In this game he completed 57% of his passes for 398 yards, 7.7 ypa.  IU's defense gives up, on average, 60% completion for 334 yards per game, 8.2 ypa.  So before we start crowning Cook at Heisman winner, I'd wish people would at least look at the team's he's doing it against.

Cook's WRs played out of their minds against us catching everything and he still only passed for 45% or whatever. If Im an NFL scout, Im not impressed. Hiws he going to fare against an NFL defense? In recent years all the top picks have passed for 65/70% in college. Cook has never cracked 60% in hos career.

What's the point of an illegal formation/5 men in the backfield penalty? How does it give the offense an unfair advantage to have an extra guy on the los? Why does moving that guy 1 yard back supposedly negate that advantage? What's the point of the rule?
