Can't wait to check out Team 134..Hope the weather is nice that weekend, but I highly doubt it.
Weather for Ann Arbor in mid April?
Short sleeves
Depends. The last couple of years it's rained. The year before that it was gorgeous. The year before that it rained.
cold, rain, sun shine, clouds, wet, warm, slight chance of hail, humid, windy, frost, fog, light beeze, rainbows....this is what you should expect.
i havent been to a spring game since around 02/03 but it was hot as hell the two times i've been. i would go again but it really isnt worth the 5 hour drive to pretty much watch a very controlled practice.
miss this annual right of Spring.
and a full BIG HOUSE.
on both objectives
any news on what time the annual garage sale is at ?
is there an autograph session after the spring game ?
Hopefully if there's nice weather we can get 60K like the last time we had nice weather in 2009.
for my first ever spring game. I think Seth mentioned having a tailgate of some sort in one of his posts a while back, which would be really cool if it were to happen.
Also the girlfriend plays one of the smaller schools in Michigan that week, so I might try to stay up there for a couple extra days, which would be really awesome.
Went to my first last year, met up with my brother and made a fun weekend out of it. If it's like last years, don't expect much more than a glorified practice, but it's fun to have access to the stadium and see the guys up close. Let's all hope there isn't another ACL tear in the Alumni game :( Have full confidence the University takes care of the guys, but still, it's tough to see someone go down in game where they are just having fun.
Something to watch out for; the city of Ann Arbor views the Spring Game as a 'Game Day' so any places that have free parking are probably going to be off limits. Have heard (cough, cough) that if you park on the street by Yost you will be towed. Then you get to spend the rest of your afternoon finding out how to get to the police station to pay the fine then finding a cab to give you a lift out to the outskirts to get your rental car from the towing company. A little bitter... maybe. In the city's defense, the signs are clearly posted, we just made a bad assumption. Still had an awesome time.
Such a great way to get close to the program. Sunny and 60's make it an epic recruiting venue.
I really wanted to go this year, but my CPAT recertification is on the same day.
It's the battle for Spring Game Supremacy! Blue leads the series 28-26. Who eats steak, and who eats beans and weenies this year?

The average margin of victory for the Blue Team is 15.1 points, and the average margin of victory for the White Team is 9.1 points. Here is the record of the Blue Team by decade, the mirror of which is, of course, the White Team's record:
BLUE | W | L |
1950s | 2 | 1 |
1960s | 5 | 5 |
1970s | 2 | 8 |
1980s | 8 | 2 |

2010-present | 3 | 0 |
I've been to all of them since 1997 with the exception of two, the years in which my kids were born actually (2006 and 1007). This is a nice way to spend a day (for minimal investment) around the program and talk to other fans and alums. That, and by then it has typically been too long since the last football game, so there's a fix of sorts needed.
your older child (the 1006-year-old) with you?
Will you allow pictures?
Why do they always schedule this the same weekend as coachella?
Both weekends have the same artists
with corporate sponsorship presented by my enormous junk.
but I'll be there for Mott regardless.
I'll be at my daughter's reception. She is a huge fan, but that is one of the few things that transcend football in her mind.
on your expectations, and if you have family, plan other activities etc.
It's not like a real game atmosphere certainly.
I brought my 7 yr old daughter last year & I knew she'd be bored pretty quickly.
We hit the fantastic Children's Museum first, then snacked our way through the end of the alumni-Spring Game-start of LAX game and she was pooped, cold, bored etc. The smartphone apps & movie helped her make it that far.
I could have done all three events just fine by myself (knowing it wasn't going to be a full scrimmage) but wanted to get my daughter some cheap Michigan Football exposure.
My advice (even for an individual) is to make it PART of a day or weekend in AA, that way if the weather is awful you have other options.
What do they charge for the Spring Game? Never been...would like to take my 7 year old son for his first Wolverine experience...
