1997 linebacker Clint Copenhaver received a hilariously misspelled recruiting letter from Wisconsin
With the news of Aubrey Solomon's decommitment after receiving a recruiting letter that spelled his name wrong, former Michigan linebacker Clint Copenhaver tweeted Angelique Chengelis a photo of a recruiting letter he got from Wisconsin in the early '90s.
Via Twitter, slightly NSFW:

That is my official MGo Laugh of the day. It's awesome that Clint kept that letter all these years.

1) Mystic River
2) Unforgiven
3) Million Dollar Baby
4) Gran Torino
5) Letters from Iwo Jima
Specifically in that order.

It definitely does happen, bad kerning, missing letters....

think that is a mistake. I just think they were 1) just trying to be honest, and 2) did not have the correct letters to spell "Buckeyes."

I haven't been on here much lately to see every use of it, but this is definitely the lamest instance of this joke I have seen yet.

actually think the joke may be over now. Kudos to Hatter, this one stayed afloat longer than most but it is getting a bit tired now. It is not entering the category shared by "Oakland is in Play" and "not fully aware."

at the end of OT season. If we beat MSU and OSU this season, Brian can sell We Beat MSU & OSU shirts with some of the proceeds to go to the Hatter retirement fund.

better keep it away from Hatter until actual retirement or that money is going to spent on blow and hookers by the end of bowl season.

Even better than I thought. I figured someone had just made a typo and left out the N.

...unless his real name is Lobsterlight and his nickname is Fishbulb. I guess then it would be OK.

I took two things away from this tweet
A) Very Funny
B) He didn't go to Wisconsin [Which is why I think it is being misapplied for the Solomon case].

I mean, that isn't even close. What was that staffer drinking that day?
August 23rd, 2016 at 8:36 AM ^
I have proof to the contrary, I pretty much assume that everybody is drinking all of the time.

LOL!! Way to go, Alvarez - way to keep those recruiting lines open!
Hopefully, UW handled that with more class than some of UM's fans/alumni have. With some of these guys, you'd think the apocalypse was on us! Kid probably had mom breathing down his neck and reminding him daily that she wasn't on board. Then this, and she probably struck hard. 'They don't love you, blah blah blah...'
But hey, if the kid would rather be coached by a college rookie HC and DC than by a proven Super Bowl performer with an NFL staff, let him go to Georgia...

spell checker!

when i was a contract employee at GM i had send an email off to one of the suppliers in Mexico to get some info and i copied the contacts US boss on the email. I clicked send button and spell check never came up and off went the email... the next morning i came into work and open up my email and i have an email from the US boss saying that was the funniest thing he had ever read... i re-read the email and finally noticed that in the middle of a sentence where i should have typed "this" i actually typed "shit"... moral of the story always proof read and just don't rely on spell check...
