'21 DT Benny pushes back commitment

i believe their other likeliest DT recruit Rooks also recently pushed back his timeline.... remains very strange that Michigan has such a difficult time getting DT's esp when they didn't take any last year.

I wonder if the coaches told him to hold off for that big recruiting (no coach contact) weekend all the current commits and kids of high interest are planning. Sam mentioned this morning that the Florida kids, Junior Colson. JJ McCarthy (2022 CB recruit Domani Jackson) and the other recruits are planning on being on campus together to hang and watch a game.

seems crazy that if the class doesn't add a DT that Michigan will have recruited only 2 DT's in 4 years...  I understand that some SDE may be turned into DT's but this seems crazy for a team that seems to still want to run a 4 man front.  Unless i missed something and these recent 4 person LB classes are indicative of a change in philosophy.

I hope there is a backup plan for once.

Like start pinging the directional schools and seeing who from their classes would jump.

At least they have corporeal beings which means they recruit better than we have been.

At DT, i like Rooks better than Benny. But i like Benny as a prospect at OL better than Rooks on DL.

IMO, i think we get Benny and not Rooks.

He already said why!  Everyone makes the playoffs.  Boy we love to panic around here!  Oh no fire everyone because Nua needs a Nua’r job!  Literally no one in here could do a better job!  It’s 2020 and we are all being affected so for anyone to pretend to know anything about anyone else’s thought patterns is just a bunch of cow manure.  Oh no he changed his mind!

Soooo....Kentucky?

This reeks of a kid wanting to go anywhere but Michigan.  Hope Nua steps it up either from a development or a recruiting standpoint as something isn’t working.  I am fine with the grow a DT strategy but if they’re going to do that I’d want to see two more of them in this class, beyond just Guy and Giudice.

Hope the coaches are scouring senior film to try to find a late riser and better yet TWO late risers.

Let them.  We are about to take off in a big way.  Would love to see to get better recruits...
