I mean, obviously. We never get the A-level names. Whither Leviticus Payne?

MD CB Sir Patrick Scott has decommitted:

Scott's departure leaves Michigan's class at 23 currently with a few more yet-to-be-announced departures expected for various reasons.

FL CB Antwaine Richardson and FL S Josh Metellus are the remaining defensive backs in the class; Michigan is pursuing CA CB David Long, MI CB Lavert Hill, NJ CB Jordan Fuller, and PA S Khaleke Hudson, and would take two or three depending on how other things shake out.

Need because he's a DB and Michigan is going to need DB's going forward, but there were a lot of indications that he wasn't going to be in the class for a while. You also saw the names at the bottom of Brian's post so there are still a lot of options going forward.

I wish him well and am interested in seeing where he ends up.

...as expected.

Good luck to Scott. We have plenty of other great DBs who the staff obviously thinks more highly of. This bodes well for Long's pending commitment.

Hope he finds a good school to attend for 4 years and get a degree.

He's got the size and ability to jam at the line, and has skills adjusting to throws downfield. He'll be a force for a different team, unfortunately.

Hope he succeeds wherever his journey takes him.

Sorry, "Reading between the lines on "or lack thereof" is too cryptic for me. Did Sir Patrick officially visit elsewhere? Did he not take an official to Ann Arbor? I am aware of all of the high quality DBs with links to UM. Thanks

I hope this means HELLO DAVID LONG.  (I also want Hudson ... )

Brian has hinted without saying so if you dont go on official visits you dont have the grades.  SPS has not been on any official visits.  Ergo...

I can completely understand where he's at.  Michigan has a legit shot at both Long & Hill.  It has to be tough when a team might just recruit you to the bench before you even get to campus.

Wishing him well in his career, save for any games he may play against Michigan of course.  (Have to believe that Maryland will be in play for him.)

While to some this might seem like a dick move by the coaches but i like what Jim is doing here..bring in the best guys to build a championship team. No more nice guy, finally we have a coach who knows what it takes to win the big one.
Good luck to this kid wherever he goes.
