Michigan vs Florida In The Citrus Bowl
The Oldest Bloggers In Existence bowl is on again. Points are projected to be a bit less than last time, as Florida enters with a brutal defense and an equally brutal offense, albeit in opposite directions.
S&P+ likes the Gators a lot more than humans do: they rank 16th, with the #5 defense and #58 offense—though that former number is generous since it includes a number of games that QB Will Grier started before he was suspended for a positive PED test. Since his exit the Florida offense has struggled. Like… nine points against Vandy struggled.
If Jake Rudock is healthy, as he is supposed to be, you'd think Michigan will be favored by a few points despite the road game.

Florida is a good draw in a good bowl game. Go blue!

as a gambling man I love me some UM giving 3 points in this one. Florida's offense is horrible, and against UMs defense won't be able to get anything going. With the way Rudock was playing towards the end of the year I would expect M to score more than enough to win.
This is a good draw for you guys, I think you'll win easily.

...2 years ago this January. AND NOTHING COULD MAKE ME HAPPIER than Harbaughing all of my new Florida buds for which I previously had zero stake in any game they played. Busting out all the Blue gear from storage and going to annoy all the neighbors.
After watching M get blasted by Clowney in person, this will be sweet redemption. So many positive vibes. So many feels.

If Rudock can recover than I think we can win! May be 24-13? It will end a great first season for Harbaugh. Only game I'm a bit down on was at home against OSU. It just look like the team was down!

As an Alum who lives in So Cal, i can tell you from 76 to 05 i have been to a LOT of Rose Bowl losses esp to USC.
i think i have seen two wins in Pasadena, one over Washington and the dream season National Championship win over Arizona State in 1998 that one i will never forget!!
my last Rose Bowl was a close dramatic loss to Vince Youngs Texas when they made that final Field goal late in the game, Man was VY impossible to shut down, i know how USC felt in that Championship game. the next year.

That win over Arizona State was bittersweet since North Dakota beat Tuskegee in the Orange Bowl that day to split the national title. Thanks for nothing, Eli Manning!

Transitive logic doesn't necessarily apply to college football.
After a month to recover and gameplan, offenses generally look improved in bowls.

We scored 28 points against PSU on fewer yards than we had aginst OSU. The PSU result was right in line with expectation based on yards per point; the OSU result was not, largely due to the poor field position that results from forcing only one punt and zero three and outs (not counting garbage time). That should be much less of a concern against Florida.

I've attended several M bowl games, but this one was one of the best. Rex Grossman v John Navarre. But as important, Chris Perry and a young, raw talent named Braylon Edwards, both of whom had monster games. I had to find a YouTube highlight film of the game to refresh my fading recollection of how well M played, especially in the second half. With the exception of his TD runs, Chris didn't have a lot of success running between the tackles, so M went to the screen pass, where it had great success. And the much-maligned John Navarre had a career day throwing to Edwards and to TE Benny Joppru, among others.
Of course, Ron Zook's questionable "trickeration" last-minute pass play that ended up in LB Victor Hobson's hands became an M-fan thing of legend for years afterward.
It was a beautiful day in Tampa, both weather-wise and on the field. Go Blue.

Corey Smith. 93 days later Florida head coach Urban Meyer trotted Hernandez out for a few plays against Michigan during the 2008 Citrus Bowl. Dish just dropped the game into my DVR, and I just finished watching it. Seeing Hernandez gave me the same feeling I get when watching Naked Gun and seeing O.J. Simpson.
