The Oldest Bloggers In Existence bowl is on again. Points are projected to be a bit less than last time, as Florida enters with a brutal defense and an equally brutal offense, albeit in opposite directions.

S&P+ likes the Gators a lot more than humans do: they rank 16th, with the #5 defense and #58 offense—though that former number is generous since it includes a number of games that QB Will Grier started before he was suspended for a positive PED test. Since his exit the Florida offense has struggled. Like… nine points against Vandy struggled.

If Jake Rudock is healthy, as he is supposed to be, you'd think Michigan will be favored by a few points despite the road game.

Most of us thought 7-5 maybe 8-4.  A ton of us thought MAYBE a bowl game.  We had no reliable QB, we had a new system, we lost Funchess, etc.  It was a rebuilding year with a new coach.  To be on a New Years Day bowl, a botched punt away from a New Year 6 bowl is incredible.  A testimony to what good coaching does.  And Rudock being thought of as a maybe NFL draft pick?  Just wow.  Freaking wow...

The Big 10 needs a home bowl game, where we can tailgate out in the snow. How awesome would it be if we were playing Florida at (say) Lambeau Field, or maybe even Soldier Field?

It could be the DeGiorno Frozen Pizza Bowl at Lambeau Field. Let's see how Florida and Alabama would perform on the Frozen Tundra.

I have grown weary of all the SEC teams playing homegame bowls and then parading their victories as if the conference rules the world.

Ha, no offense. There are plenty of places in Michigan that suck, too.  My comment is more of a response to everyone who thinks all of Florida is awesome just cause it is warm year round and there are vacationy things. Just not my cup of tea. I fully respect the fact that lots of people wouldn't be caught dead in the Midwest...not that I agree with the sentiment.

I had a lovely week in Watercolor, Fla three summers back. Sure I prefer the beaches, culture, and food of places like Croatia, Kauai, or Costa Rica, but Watercolor was nice, easy to get to, reasonably priced, and allowed me to take my girls to an epic Disney vacation I'll always cherish.

As a kid growing up in DTW I had many equally fond memories of crushing it down I 75 in the back of my parents car, fleeing dirty snow and rusty cars. Magical times. Not Rosebud, but it was special to a kid of working class folks.

I couldn't agree more! Lived here since 85 and can't wait to retire and move. On a good note, they have rehabbed the stadium and its very nice now. Those coming down. be careful where you park. This stadium is in the shit hole of Orlando and locals are notorious for pulling no parking signs, taking your $25.00 and when you come back your vehicle is towed. I'll be going so hit me up for some great local placed to eat and drink!!!!!!
