Michigan vs Florida In The Citrus Bowl
The Oldest Bloggers In Existence bowl is on again. Points are projected to be a bit less than last time, as Florida enters with a brutal defense and an equally brutal offense, albeit in opposite directions.
S&P+ likes the Gators a lot more than humans do: they rank 16th, with the #5 defense and #58 offense—though that former number is generous since it includes a number of games that QB Will Grier started before he was suspended for a positive PED test. Since his exit the Florida offense has struggled. Like… nine points against Vandy struggled.
If Jake Rudock is healthy, as he is supposed to be, you'd think Michigan will be favored by a few points despite the road game.

You can't spell "Fuck Florida" without UF.

Most of us thought 7-5 maybe 8-4. A ton of us thought MAYBE a bowl game. We had no reliable QB, we had a new system, we lost Funchess, etc. It was a rebuilding year with a new coach. To be on a New Years Day bowl, a botched punt away from a New Year 6 bowl is incredible. A testimony to what good coaching does. And Rudock being thought of as a maybe NFL draft pick? Just wow. Freaking wow...

I had us at 10-2.

I had 10 - 2 as well... but will be happy with 10 - 3..

We could finish with a 10 win season, with a win against the SEC East champion in a New Year's Day bowl game in Harbaugh's first year.
You would have taken that deal in August in an instant.

Great opportunity to end the season with another shutout.

Over the summer my reasonable projection for Michigan's season always included us winning the Pinstripe Bowl.
This, this is good.

We will be wearing our home uniforms beacuse of the higher ranking, correct?
December 6th, 2015 at 4:53 PM ^
Unless we wear alternate black uniforms with black numbers.

Looks like Florida is the home team. A quick search through the last few game wikis shows it just rotates between the SEC and Big 10.

Is there any chance Glasgow can participate?
December 6th, 2015 at 4:47 PM ^
I doubt it. A quick Googling of his injury suggests a 5-6 month recovery time. He'll likely miss spring ball.

What about Bryan Mone?

Not going to burn his redshirt for a bowl game

I really like that logo for some reason, curious if its a particular style or school.

The Big 10 needs a home bowl game, where we can tailgate out in the snow. How awesome would it be if we were playing Florida at (say) Lambeau Field, or maybe even Soldier Field?
It could be the DeGiorno Frozen Pizza Bowl at Lambeau Field. Let's see how Florida and Alabama would perform on the Frozen Tundra.
I have grown weary of all the SEC teams playing homegame bowls and then parading their victories as if the conference rules the world.

I'll also probably watch some 5-7 teams in their bowl game, so I'm really easily entertained.

I like that logo a lot, despite hating Florida (the state) and Orlando in particular. At least it's not Tampa. That said, great bowl game to draw.

But seriously, I get where you're coming from.

Ha, no offense. There are plenty of places in Michigan that suck, too. My comment is more of a response to everyone who thinks all of Florida is awesome just cause it is warm year round and there are vacationy things. Just not my cup of tea. I fully respect the fact that lots of people wouldn't be caught dead in the Midwest...not that I agree with the sentiment.

As a kid growing up in DTW I had many equally fond memories of crushing it down I 75 in the back of my parents car, fleeing dirty snow and rusty cars. Magical times. Not Rosebud, but it was special to a kid of working class folks.
