Watching something you don't understand but are extremely invested in turns out to be stressful!

AND YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER...

Congratulations to Michigan, just the seventh school to win a women's gymnastics national title.

That would do it for Michigan. What an incredible performance by all three ladies plus let's not forget about Gabby Wilson with a 39.4125 which is good for 10th in the final in All-Around score.

Sierra Brooks was a monster today which started off the great run to close the door on OU. Career high of 9.9625 in the beam which came through at the right time of the season. Wojick's beam was fantastic as well.

GO BLUE!

That final rotation was nerve-racking. IMO, the moment the last gymnast completed her dismount she knew she had won it for us.

I'm so glad I witnessed that live.

Team National Championships are currently rare for Michigan these days. So to finally see my alma mater win another one is truly special.

Alumni is the plural noun for a group of male graduates or male and female combined

Alumnae is the plural noun for a group of female grads

Alumnus is single/male

Alumna is single/female

Exactly. If the congratulations was for all gymnastics alumni (male and female), then the original post was correct. He was only intending on congratulating the alumnae of the women's gymnastics team, then the correction was appropriate.

Gymnastics dad here. (My daughter did college gymnastics.) This is huge and wonderful news. Bev Plocki does things the right way, unlike some other people in her sport, so she really deserved this.

Big for Michigan, big for the Big Ten. GO BLUE!

I just looked at the roster and they won't lose anyone significant next season so they could very well repeat next season. They really have tightened up the floor exercise this weekend that allowed them to hold serve with the elite teams since it is easily their weakest rotation this season. They truly have peaked at the right time which is exactly what you want to see in any team sports.

Just an amazing effort. Needed to nail the last 3 Beam routines. And did. Program best score. National Champions.  Muppets indeed.

Men go for the double tonight.

Congratulations to Coach Bev and the team. Being taken down to the wire and pulling it out for the championship was a huge win. Enjoy celebrating this, you certainly earned it!
