No Devante' Jones so 6-seed was Colorado State was all like...

And 11-seed Frankie Collins-led Michigan was like you can’t have one without the other.

Ol' Muppet.

Enormously satisfying. You could feel how much everyone wanted us to lose that one. Lots of people having to quietly delete their hot takes about Michigan and the Big Ten that they had locked and loaded since selection sunday

The second half was enormously satisfying. The first half, or maybe the first 16 minutes, was... a mess. When you're missing your starting PG, you can expect stuff like that, but it still wasn't fun to watch. They'll need to skip that phase on Saturday, since Stu Douglass won't be throwing down two-handed jams this time around.

I'm a huge Bufkin fan.   He's silky smooth, can get to the rim, and has the makings of a great perimeter shooter.   I think he's gonna be great.    But he was definitely skittish in the first half with a few icky turnovers.

His end game FT's were clutch, though.  Let's hope the tourney butterflies have flown far away!   If we're going to advance past the 2nd round, we'll need someone off the bench to step up.

Whoo-hoo!

Big win today. Beautiful performance. Stayed cool and close when CSU was smoking hot and we were turning it over. Great timeout by Juwan to calm things down.

Completely destroyed them in the second half.

Tight whistle hurt their little grabbies, and boy, were we money at the line.

Seniors stepped up. Kids showed some maturity after a shaky start.

Really well done. Great adjustments by Juwan and coaches, too.

THAT's how you do it!

Go Blue!  Round of 32!

Really proud of this team for not giving up. They fought throughout the game and came all the way back and then some. I’m hoping DeVante gets a taste of March and they keep this winning streak going as long as possible.

Most unexpected things, Collins with zero turnovers I believe and he hit their first three to get that going. If nothing else I think PG next year will have a decent floor. Honestly just holding on to the ball was the key because when they did that they were getting good looks everytime down with the size advantage. Just a super gritty effort to come back down 15 without a starter.

I never doubted that we'd come back, not for a single second!!

/pauses to Urban Meyer his text messages from two hours ago

Here's hoping that Davison*, Loyola-Chicago, and Colgate emulate our first-round moxie!

This is one schizophrenic team.  I love the lockdown, nobody-can-beat-this defense personality that showed up in the second half.  Frankie YOU DA MAN!

Great game Wolverines!!!!

I was stuck at work.  These are the texts I got from my dad in the first half....

* They're shooting over Dickinson.  Still early.

* They miss Devonte.  Careless passes.  20-13 Colorado State.

* Can't make shots.  (Angry emoji)

Start of 2nd half....

*They are clogging up the middle because they know M can't shoot 3's.

* 0 for 7 for threes.

It was around this time that I found a stream at work and was able to watch and we finally started playing better.  For once, I was good luck.  GO BLUE!

15 minutes of the worst basketball we have played all season --> 25 minutes of some of the best.

The last 8 minutes felt like last year, when we execute our offense its a beautiful thing!  Thought this was over, but wow love the grit!

BIG second half. Keep it hot in March like we do so much. GO BLUE!!

Alright, I can no longer remain silent about the double standard here: This consistently inconsistent moops team gets muppets after just a first round win (not to mention several more this season), but hockey can't get ONE? Even after beating quite literally the only team that's held them back, giving them a chance to win their first B1G tournament title in 6 years and distancing themselves to be the #1 team in Pairwise?

I'm not one to police what events are Muppet-worthy, but all I ask is consistency. Either Muppets are limited for the highest of celebrations, or they can be used more loosely — pick one and apply it to both winter revenue sports Seth!

As a huge hockey fan that was delighted by the ND win…

I don’t think a B1G tournament semifinal merits muppets, honestly. Saturday? I’d like that. But the muppets I want to see for the hockey team will be in April.

I think even the football team was pretty scarce on muppets until the end of November, if I recall.

Hockey gets muppets if they win Saturday. Beating ND is what you're supposed to do except they make every game a random event generator. It felt satisfying to salvage a measure of dignity but I didn't feel it rose to the Muppets level.

You never have to worry about whether hockey gets enough love here. Out of all of us I only think Matt d could truly claim he goes deeper with basketball from a personal standpoint.
