West Coast OL visiting this weekend
January 25th, 2011 at 10:59 AM ^
Christian Heyward comes to mind but not sure if he is committed anywhere. I know Hoke was recruiting him at San Diego.

Mustafa Jalil could be a candidate. From San Diego and recruited by Hoke at SDSU.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:01 AM ^
That is a must-have name.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:19 AM ^
ITS NOWICKI.... it even says so on his scout page that he is visiting january 28th.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:01 AM ^
Probably someone Hoke recruited from SDSU..
Here are some possibilities from the West:
Villiami Moalla
Jalen Grimble
Sheldon Richardson
Mustafa Jalil
Todd Barr
Christian Heyward.
All would be great gets imo, and hopefully Hoke can reel em' in

I would bet that its OL Ryan Nowicki the arizona OL who is committed to Penn State, Ryan Nowicki.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:06 AM ^
He got an offer about a week ago. This is the most likely candidate
January 25th, 2011 at 11:08 AM ^
He's already shown a willingness to move far away from home.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:17 AM ^
It's Nowicki. Nowicki is committed ti PSU, but will be visiting UM this weekend. He's from the same high school as former Wolverine Norman Heuer. He would be a great pick-up for us.

DGDestroys gives me props. A pos bang would be nice ! And his scout page says he is visiting Jan 28 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is Nowicki for those who want to know...
January 25th, 2011 at 11:12 AM ^
...is generally a counter-productive enterprise.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:38 AM ^
Interesting how the Scout site indicates his interest level in Michigan as "No Interest" yet they also show that he's scheduled for a 1/28 visit.
Somehow I doubt he's visiting due to the great January weather in Michigan.
January 25th, 2011 at 2:56 PM ^
He saw Blimpy Burger on "Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives" and wanted to try it for himself. Guy Fieri is his idol.
January 26th, 2011 at 12:22 PM ^
When a player is verbally committed elsewhere, all other schools are listed as "no interest."
January 25th, 2011 at 11:03 AM ^
He actually posted an Offensive Lineman on GBW.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:07 AM ^
I heard "...sive lineman" and got excited.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:13 AM ^
get more excited and read nowicki's writeup on scout....

Big, strong, well-coached player. Runs well and is able to get to the next level and effectively make blocks. Pulls and traps with authority. Gets after it in the run game, always looking to finish the defender. Tends to play a little high. Has the ability to move inside and play guard. |

I love that we keep offering guys. It's going to be awesome on the 1/28 visit weekend when we have 8 guys visiting and one open scholarship.
Awkward!
January 25th, 2011 at 11:19 AM ^
Maybe Hoke knows that some of those offers that we all consider as possibilities, are definitely not gonna happen.
Gotta love recruiting. We are all in the dark armed only with a flashlight named tom - he's a good flashhlight, but its a big god damned room.
January 25th, 2011 at 3:00 PM ^
I really don't think its going to be that big of a deal. Even if we get to 28 scholarships (max for a class), I think that some kids won't qualify and there will be natural attrition. Don't worry about it until it actually becomes a problem.

Does this mean they're not feeling good about Fisher?
January 25th, 2011 at 11:24 AM ^
Thats what I'm wondering. Seems like we only offer him if Fisher is out.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:30 AM ^
the #s right now don't add up
but I am sure we don't know all the facts
January 25th, 2011 at 11:41 AM ^
just ask Spurrier.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:40 AM ^
Payback for Zettell??
January 25th, 2011 at 1:48 PM ^
I think this is payback for them still recruiting Countess.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:40 AM ^
Westerman? We were in the running for him at one time, and he's from Roh's "neck of the woods", but I would think TomVH would be all over that as well.
January 25th, 2011 at 11:48 AM ^
was the name that came to mind right away. Early interest with Lewan and Roh as former teammates.

I am wondering what is up with the offers. I thought that we offered both Durham and Barnett. Also, I figured that Rawls had an offer as long as he qualifies. It seems weird that this is an updated visit list, but the offer column isn't updated.
