Desmond visiting Ann Arbor
Desmond seems to be in Ann Arbor tonight and he seems impressed with Coach Hoke:

May have taken longer than some expected but I believe @DaveBrandonAD got the right man. After speaking w/Coach Hoke, I wanted 2 play 4 him.
He also visited with his "twin" as he said:
Its always good to see the smiling face of Denard Robinson aka. "Twin." He's fired up about the future of the program!
So yeah, good to see.

No advertising in the stadium... but players are fair game! I'm thinking Arby's.

is that for real? I hadn't heard anything like that and would be interested if that was the truth to why he has so many sponsors plastered on his gear
January 16th, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
It is not 'for real'
January 16th, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
Are you for real? It is a Nascar jacket.
January 17th, 2011 at 9:58 AM ^
It looks like a michigan colored jacket with a lot of sponsors on it that is why i asked.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:25 PM ^
This is a clear example of an implied
/s
needing to be stated and not just implied.

in Christmas Vacation where Clark tells the kids about a pilot seeing Santa's sleigh over New York? You are Cousin Eddy with the "You serious, Clark?".
January 16th, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
It's like attending his nephew's middle school track meet
January 16th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
what is up with all those sponsor's blanketing Denard?
January 16th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^
Someone had to give Jimmie Johnson a challenge, might as well be Denard.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:28 PM ^
Denard must be a fan of Dale Jarrett
January 16th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
This made me all warm and fuzzy.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:09 PM ^
Nice. Love those guys.
January 17th, 2011 at 1:47 AM ^
lie - I teared up
January 16th, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
Finally think I got it where the photos fit in the white space. I was trying to make sure that Desmond's original text got through.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
Stopped by the Salvation Army for that jacket.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
+1, thanks for the laugh.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:26 PM ^
He had to bid on the XXL stock
January 16th, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
Denard is a NASCAR guy??? Never woulda thunk it.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
Southerners love them some NASCAR.
I love me some sterotypes.
January 16th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
totally.
January 17th, 2011 at 1:23 AM ^
GOD, I wish that show lasted longer than ~30 episodes or whatever it was.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:33 PM ^
A lot of college kids wear Nascar jackets and do not care anything about Nascar. It is a fashion statement more than a fandom.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:38 PM ^
I don't think you understand the concepts of stereotypeing...
January 17th, 2011 at 7:51 PM ^
Woah, man. I didn't go there, you did.
Also, a lot may have been a bad word to use but some do wear them as a fashion statement.
January 17th, 2011 at 12:42 AM ^
What? I have never seen anyone on campus wearing a NASCAR jacket. What are you smoking?
January 17th, 2011 at 12:47 AM ^
They were quite popular when I was on campus about 4 or 5 years ago. Maybe Denard is going for the early 2000's look.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:44 PM ^
Except Denard has no need for a car, he simply just runs faster than the competition.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:12 PM ^
Is it just me or does Bruce Feldman look like a serial killer in one of Desmond's photos?
January 16th, 2011 at 10:13 PM ^
If you aint first you're last, Denard!
January 16th, 2011 at 11:31 PM ^
"Man, gotta lay off the peyote." Best line of the movie.
January 17th, 2011 at 10:55 AM ^
"I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!"
January 16th, 2011 at 10:32 PM ^
edit: damn you beat me to it
edit edit: if you aint first you're last
January 16th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
Love it!
January 16th, 2011 at 10:14 PM ^
Nice to see a past and future Heisman winner in the same photo. Is it just me or does Denard look like what Randy from the Wire would all grown up?
January 16th, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
Former players ahoy! The Temple Grounds are Sanctified Once More.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
January 17th, 2011 at 12:47 AM ^
I don't think so. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that if Hoke's career path had taken him to Wall Street, he would be playing the Forex market.

January 16th, 2011 at 10:15 PM ^
Des Howard.... the man....
January 16th, 2011 at 10:16 PM ^
Denard wants to go fast.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
did the same thing when RR came to town. I remember seeing him during sprig practices and at the first coaches clinic.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:17 PM ^
Good to see him there. Probably a boost to morale.
January 17th, 2011 at 1:52 AM ^
my morale! I have only been a member for about a week and I am seeing lots of negativity and venom. I just want to be happy (insert smiley face here)
January 17th, 2011 at 2:02 AM ^
I've been following the blog since mid-2008 (calendar year) and this, to me, is about average in terms of the amount of vitriol that gets thrown around. It gets really rough after big losses sometimes, but in general, MGo's a pretty hard-nosed kind of place.
The trick is to find the right places to be smiley-face happy. The "There are..." threads are a good place to start. In general, if someone's getting in someone else's business, don't get involved unless you're looking for a good fight, because people take that sort of thing PERSONAL around here.
January 16th, 2011 at 10:18 PM ^
Denard can pass, run, AND drive stock cars? What can't he do?
January 16th, 2011 at 10:21 PM ^
mostly just things that require him to go slow.
