What about Lloyd Brady?
January 13th, 2011 at 11:19 PM ^
it may have to be Tom Brady who changes....God I hope so.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:19 PM ^
There's the sexiest man in the world and then there's the 3 time superbowl champ.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:20 PM ^
Hoke has less letters than Brady. Problem Solved.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:21 PM ^
Or we can agree to use last names. Denard is a first name athlete. Barry is a first name athlete. Bo was a first name coach. Brady Hoke isn't any more of a first name coach than Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, or Ron Zook.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:22 PM ^
But I keep on thinking "Braxy Hoke" and then instead of typing Hoke I type Brady! Ahg!
January 13th, 2011 at 11:23 PM ^
we just call Hoke "Beezy?" Sound good?
Cool, I'm glad we all agree on this one.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:23 PM ^
We could drop the "y" in Brady. Coach Brad and Tom Brady.
January 14th, 2011 at 1:22 AM ^
Or you could drop the "y" in the other Brady.
Tom Brad.

Never trust a man with two first names and never trust a woman, ever.

I thought it was interesting at the press conference that DB and the press all called him Brady, I never saw an RR press conference, but did they refer to him as Rich? Or Coach Rodriguez?
January 14th, 2011 at 9:21 AM ^
A lot of the time, he was called Rich. I think on the rare occasion he was called "Coach", it was usually the writers from the Michigan Daily.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:25 PM ^
I heard David Brandt on the radio today give as evidence for the reasons he did not support Rodriguez: "He didn't even have captains. Michigan has always had captains."
SMH.
These "Michigan Men" certainly know how to act like petty little girls.

Tom Brady changes for no one.....well except Giselle
January 13th, 2011 at 11:33 PM ^
Cannot say Gisele without a picture!
January 14th, 2011 at 12:00 AM ^
thank you for this... +1
January 14th, 2011 at 10:02 AM ^
That's the Michigan difference.
January 14th, 2011 at 7:03 PM ^
ahh i dun f'd up!
January 13th, 2011 at 11:35 PM ^
I could see Tom Brady going into the coaching ranks after his NFL playing days. Who knows in 2022 he could be leading Cal to a 12-1 season and a blowout win in the Rose Bowl. Hoke has just retired and we are trying to land Brady! But the 49ers job has opened again, but will our hopes for Brady to be our next coach be dashed again by the 49ers?
January 13th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
Mike Hart ...
... and people will die on the decision and vilify the then AD - Larry Page
January 14th, 2011 at 12:01 AM ^
By that point Lloyd Brady will have earned 4 degrees from U of M including an MFA just so he could keep his student tickets, and will have found a place to live under the stadium like Rudy. At that point, he will be our AD by default and will never have to be photoshopped next to a player again.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:50 PM ^
We're the Brady Bunch.
January 13th, 2011 at 11:59 PM ^
We are all Brady now.

Tom Brady and Giselle should name their son after Hoke.
January 14th, 2011 at 7:34 AM ^
I named my son (born last March) Brady. I say its because of Tom, but my wife claims she picked the name. Anyway, he is now destined to be a great player at Michigan. That is one part of this hire I'm ecstatic about.
January 14th, 2011 at 8:26 AM ^
That is awesome, I have a Brady as well, just turned 4. My wife says she got the name from a popular Soap, but the only reason it passed my litmus test was bacause of Tom Brady. We now have another reason to celebrate.
January 14th, 2011 at 10:37 AM ^
I'll be doing the same thing I've done with Coach Rodriguez, Coach Carr, Coach Tressel, etc.
He's Coach Hoke.
January 14th, 2011 at 11:30 AM ^
I think the best method is to simply eliminate their first/last names from the lexicon and simply use nicknames based on hair.
Thus Tidy and Bieber.
Or in a few years perhaps it will have to switch to Graying and Jagr
At any rate it will solve any Brady confusion.
