FWIW a veteran poster at Tiger droppings:

Well,I just so happen to work at BR metro and this plane is not the same plane that has been picking up organs at Executive Aviaton.
Take it for what it's worth.

I just want to point out that just because the plane is flying from place-to-place doesn't necessarily mean DB is always in the plane. They could drop him off in one city while the pilot joyrides or drops other people off in other nearby cities and then picks him up on their way back to ann arbor.

Any thought to MSC or any other "guests" being on the plane with DB?  Although Miles is not my first choice, if he is the coach we're going after it'd be nice to have all the Ann Arbor players meet with him at the same time.

I see they went back to Hilton Head before going to Baton Rouge. Could they have maybe picked up Carr to go meet with Les? I'm just throwing it out there to stir the pot.

The same poster I quoted earlier claims that if the weather isn't bad, they will be able to take photos of who is getting off the plane. Maybe we'll find out.

Hopefully the weather breaks so your buddy can get a couple of shots.

(I've now jumped on the wagon and become one-of-them - a FlightAware stalker.  Help me, DB... you're my only hope.)

Who knows!?!? The only thing we do know, as Brady Hoke's agent said, DB and the Mich Athletics Dept. has done a really good job of keeping the search very quiet.  DB is running Fort Schembechler on lockdown.

Is it bad for me to wish that some strange electromagnetic occurence revolving around a sequence of numbers not being pushed will crash the plane and strand DB on a remote island for several years where numerous strange unnatural things will happen but in the end they'll all be pointless and have no bearing on the resolution of the plot as a whole..?

If Angelique Chengelis is a creditable source, Les Miles wants the Michigan job badly, so much so that he is willing to risk his future with LSU to make this known.  Les is all in for Michigan.  As evidence that this is a no-brainer, I fast forward in time two days and eavesdrop on a conversation occuring in Lawrence Thomas's living room:

Thomas:  "I'm sorry coach, you're wasting your time.  I am committed to Michigan State.

Miles*holds out hand*:  "Do you see this ring?  What does it say?

T:  "Michigan Big Ten Champions"

M: See there, I knew you didn't belong at MS...

T: "Wha..."

M: I'm sorry, that was mean.

M: You see these other 3 rings, what do they say?

T: Michigan Big Ten Champions.

M: That's right, and this one?

T:*eyes light up*  LSU National Champions

M:  You know what's wrong with that one?  It doesn't match.  *opens window and chucks replica ring out*

T: Wha...

M.  I tell you what Son, I am going to put you in the NFL.

T. Now we're talking

M. Well, you're from Detroit, now when you think MSU and the NFL, what names come to mind?

T: Charles Rogers...Drew Stanton...Plaxico Burress...

M. Now when you think of the University of Michigan and the NFL, who comes to mind?

T: Tom Brady...Chad Henne...Charles Woodson...

M.  Now there you go.  Your name is going to be on the lips of a lot of NFL general managers.  Do you want them to associate you with Charles Rogers, or Charles Woodson?

T: Well...I...

M: I tell you what son, you owe me a ring.  When you decide you want to help me put a ring back on this finger, you give me a call.  You've got my number.

It seems like tigerdroppings.com (LSU's Blog) is practically convinced Les is gone, if he leaves those fans are really gonna regret that they ran him out of town after he won them a NC and a couple conference titles.

This is all about name recognition and reasons for those outside Michigan to order the Big Ten Network. Remember that cash cow? Brandon is a businessman and must fund the entire University athletic budget from football. His legacy is at stake, not to mention mediocrity or a return to football greatness. So, forget Hoke. If they wanted him they would already have hired him. Besides, if you were from New York City, a market the network wishes to crack, pr Atlanta, would you pay the premium dollar to watch Hoke rebuild the team? This is the theater, guys. The theater of national football. All of the above names are marquis guys who can not only pack the stadium and sell those luxury boxes in the midst of a recession, but keep the fans interested, immediately attract recruits and rebuild the defense.

Of the four, Miles has the Midwest connection, played and coached at Michigan, and, makes for good television fodder - clock management and his predeliction for grass. I'm betting he's the first choice and they wish they had not ignored him 3 years ago, or we would not be in this mess to begin with. Failing that, Gruden makes for Network subscriptions. Patterson is the defensive minded guy that would satisfy both Bo and Carr supporters - have you seen that defensive record, and he is no namby pamby developer of talent. I put him 3rd. Then Mullen, obviously a charismatic choice.

I believe in DB and fully expect him to sign someone that we can all rally around.
