Or 2 points in triple OT...

Anyone know the over/under? That was insane that is was set at 131 last week!
November 11th, 2010 at 5:36 PM ^
131? I know we score a lot and let everyone score on us a lot, but that's ridiculous. I would take the under if it was anywhere near that. I'd guess there will be around 105 total points.
November 11th, 2010 at 8:07 PM ^
Umm, pretty sure that was a joke. No, the over/under was not 131 last week. I don't think anyone was actually predicting 67-65 last week.
105 total points is equally nuts. Sure its in the realm of possibility, but a tip -- if you ever see that line, take the under, because it's a typo. (Unless we're talking basketball).

O/U is 61.5. Moral dilema - bad to take an O/U on your own team? I never do.
In other news, Utah -4.0 at Notre Dame? That seems like a steal, TCU destruction notwithstanding.
November 11th, 2010 at 8:13 PM ^
Spread started at 5.5 and dropped. No sure which side is a "steal", but the big betters are concerned. Currently 90% of the bets are coming in on Utah ...
November 11th, 2010 at 5:42 PM ^
The over/under is 61.5 this week. Im guessing thats sarcasm (?). Last week the over/under was 58.
November 11th, 2010 at 8:40 PM ^
Yep, had the win on the over by halftime last week.
November 12th, 2010 at 1:47 AM ^
was 57 I think. Quite interesting as we were favored by 2 ( they were right ! ) and our D was averaging 35 points against per game !

Anybody remember when Illinois was the lock of the week? This is why I don't bet on sports.
Also: I have a gambling problem so I'm not allowed to.
November 11th, 2010 at 6:18 PM ^
You know, Illinois did cover.
November 11th, 2010 at 6:22 PM ^
"forget it, he's rollin."
November 12th, 2010 at 12:20 AM ^
I'll admit, I was down on the team and happened to be in Vegas that weekend, so I put $25 on Illinois on the assumption that either we'd win, and thatwas worth $25 to me, or we'd lose, and I could buy some beverages to drown my sorrows. Instead, we win an epic game in about the only way possible that gets Michigan bowl eligible AND wins me money. I about knocked over the blackjack table I was at when the last 2pt attempt failed.
EDIT: I'll also admit this makes me a horrible person.
November 12th, 2010 at 1:53 AM ^
Well, they had to cover at least SOMETHING in that game, because it sure as hell wasn't our receivers.
November 11th, 2010 at 6:12 PM ^
scored many more points against a Michigan defense the last two years than most thought going into the games.
This might be a sucker bet.
November 11th, 2010 at 7:22 PM ^
"Purdue has scored many more points against a Michigan defense the last two years than most thought going into the games."
True enough, but then again our offense was pathetic in 2008, average in 2009, and DILITHIC in 2010.

is who to be happy for to win between PSU and osu. Is it possible that the stadium will collapse? Being from PA, I am so sick of PSU fans thinking they are back! Then again it is osu. Any help on this one?
November 11th, 2010 at 7:15 PM ^
Easy. Root for Penn State
November 11th, 2010 at 7:42 PM ^
I guess I can try to be indifferent if PSU wins. Although you would think they won the Super Bowl after beating Michigan for the third time in like a decade. I am still rooting for the Hor$eshit to collapse.

Let's try to refrain from using nicknames like that for our opponents here. It's beneath us.
November 11th, 2010 at 6:37 PM ^
Was Illinois just a fluke, or does it signify that we really have made progress in terms of Big Ten competition? On paper you'd think that the line reflects reality, but it could just as easily be another nail-biter thanks to our usual mix of turnovers, poor kicking game, inopportune penalties, and of course our defense. Considering our troubles on the road within the conference, it wouldn't be surprising if we choked on another Boilermaker. It would not be the first time that a heavily-favored Michigan team went down there and lost.

only has Michigan with 37 points? WTF?
November 11th, 2010 at 7:54 PM ^
just agree to disagree and chilllllll
November 12th, 2010 at 9:32 AM ^
I expect we will play well on the road this week. The PSU game was a rough environment for our guys but they went through it and will be better for it. Minimize the turnovers and this should go very well.
