TomVH: Michigan State Visitors
Here's a list of recruits that will be on hand for the Michigan State game this weekend. There are some key visitors this weekend, and next weekend might actually be a bigger game for recruiting. As always this list will grow and shrink as changes happen. I had a request to add star rankings next to players listed, so all rankings will be according to Rivals. Continue to check back here for more updates as the come:

- Kellen Jones - Michigan commit
- Jake Fisher - Michigan commit
- James Elliott - (6'4", 305 lbs/ Offensive Line/ Pensacola, FL/ 3 Star) He'll be back in December as well. He's waiting for a committable offer. If he gets it, expect him to commit.

Enjoy the victory kids!!!
October 5th, 2010 at 11:25 AM ^
Its nice to know where these kids are from and their general recruiting profile.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:25 AM ^
Thank you Tom for all of your effort. I know you hear it all the time, but you are the man.
October 6th, 2010 at 2:49 PM ^
Thanks, I appreciate it.

Thanks Tom for your hard work. Hopefully Zettel commits after the win.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:30 AM ^
Very nice.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:31 AM ^
Those 5 2012 kids will be great pick ups and we have a chance to get a great start to locking them up come Saturday. Tom any info on James Ross?, usually where RJS and Terry Richardson are he is.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:36 AM ^
He should be there. Royce said he'll be there, but I haven't talked directly to him about it yet, so he's not on there.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:33 AM ^
Maybe after a Michigan victory Zettel will have his mind made up.
October 6th, 2010 at 9:13 AM ^
It seems like Zettel has been to every home game this year. I am almost thinking that he might be a silent commit and is just telling the coaches that, while he is commited, he just wants to experience some other colleges while he still can. This will be the 4th game he has been on the field for (I believe) and this might be the biggest upset in recruiting if we can't land it.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:33 AM ^
What is up with them being so short? Cissoko was 5'9. Hollowell 5'8. And Wilcher and Richardson are 5'6 and 5'9. But hey if they have talent and come to Michigan, I don't have a problem with it. As long as they don't end up like Boubacar.

Time to change the Cass Tech team name to the Lollipop Guild

It's not easy to find a kid with the recovery speed and hip flexibility to play corner. Most of the ones that exist are short. Those that have good size in addition have names like Charles Woodson and Ty Law.

For you students out there, lets get some loud chants going for the recruits. Make them feel welcome. Print Tom's list and bring it to the game with you if necessary. I want to hear the "Anth-ony Zet-tel" chants on television!
[Edit: No?]

I'm not positive, but I think the NCAA now discourages that kind of thing.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:38 AM ^
Danny O'Brien must have a good reason for missing the second half of the game to go to a high school homecoming dance. hopefully she is hot.
October 5th, 2010 at 12:05 PM ^
he is all in!
October 5th, 2010 at 12:13 PM ^
That's what she...
Uh, never mind. They're still just in high school.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:39 AM ^
Hey kids,
Welcome to the largest crowd in the history of College Football.

flying in on Thursday can't wait. I will be 1 of 113,???.
Prediction for the crowd. if 113,090 is Uconn, I'm going with 113,820.
gonna be nuts

Nice, I am flying in Friday from Vermont. I couldn't possibly stand to miss this one. I don't think we are recruiting anyone from Vermont, so i won't be able to give me sales pitch during the flight!
October 5th, 2010 at 11:49 AM ^
The kid can't catch a break. Has his official visit been moved to 2012 now?
October 5th, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
but that's the way the pecking order has fallen for Kitchen. Michigan is in good shape with Walls, Crawford and possibly Lyons. I'm confident that Michigan can land Walls and Crawford. Lyons would be an icing on the cake.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:54 AM ^
Tom,
Sorry that I posted this earlier, but maybe I missed an update. Any word on Walls' visit to Oregon? I haven't heard anything anywhere.
Just think Tom, you have only 3 more days to keep D Hart's silent UM commitment a secret. Then it's time to party.
October 5th, 2010 at 12:10 PM ^
There's not a lot that's newsworthy to report that I haven't already told you. He ended up missing a big part of the game, I think the entire first half.
He is scheduled to commit sometime this month. As we have all seen that can change, but that's the plan for now.
October 5th, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
Thanks Tom
October 5th, 2010 at 11:57 AM ^
2012 kids coming in are heavy on the D which is good, but we need them now! Seems like we're in on a lot of top DBs, but no visiting yet. Hopefully D. Hart starts the weekend off right on Friday!
October 5th, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
Gotta catch 'em all!
October 5th, 2010 at 12:23 PM ^
just win baby
October 5th, 2010 at 12:25 PM ^
It would be nice to see Ross attending some more games. I'm hoping he'll be to a couple more games this season.
October 5th, 2010 at 12:30 PM ^
If I remember correctly, RJS and Richardson had said sometime over the summer that they were a little disappointed that they hadn't received offers from UM. Now that 2012 offers can be extended, have they received one?
And as always-- Thanks for the info Tom!
October 5th, 2010 at 12:32 PM ^
Probably unofficial but just wondering...
October 5th, 2010 at 12:36 PM ^
I thought that over the summer RJS and Richardson had expressed some dissatisfaction that they hadn't received offers from UM yet. Now that Fall has rolled around, have they received their offers?
---- EDIT: Sorry, this is a repeat post.
October 5th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
No, not yet. They're fine though, they understand what's happening and where they're at with Michigan.
October 5th, 2010 at 1:45 PM ^
Thanks Tom for the quick reply. Hopefully, the Cass Tech pipeline continues :)
October 5th, 2010 at 1:11 PM ^
I really hope he can make it up for a game.
October 5th, 2010 at 1:24 PM ^
Scout has Kris Frost as a visitor. Any news on the truth to that??
October 5th, 2010 at 1:29 PM ^
Tom said he had to cancel. He wants his mom to come with him.
October 5th, 2010 at 1:34 PM ^
Just read on Rivals that he has Michigan in his lastest cut. A 4 star safety that's ranks 87th nationally that is described to be a hard hitter with good balls skills at 6'0 190 lbs. Now I don't know how serious he is about Michigan but it's definitely a good sign we made his latest cut. Any news on how his recruitment is going would be great. Thanks.
October 5th, 2010 at 7:22 PM ^
Lyons also has a GPA over 4.5
October 5th, 2010 at 8:11 PM ^
Tom, I haven't been able to find much about Crawford. Rivals has him listed 3 stars. Is he legit talent that can change the secondary if we get him. Thanks
October 5th, 2010 at 8:42 PM ^
I've said before I think he's like a better version of Courtney Avery. They're actually around the same size, both play(ed) quarterback in high school, and they're both smart kids. Dallas, I think, is more athletic than Courtney. I don't know whether he can change the secondary, but he's definitely a good football player.

Dallas had 10 INT's last year, including 4 Pick 6's. The kid can play.
October 5th, 2010 at 8:13 PM ^
According to scout,Kishon Wilcher committed to Toledo on October 2nd.Haven't seen anything on here about him committing or if he will still be visiting.
October 5th, 2010 at 11:00 PM ^
Excellent info, hope the commitments start rolling in soon.
October 6th, 2010 at 12:04 AM ^
Tom, was wondering if UM had been following any recruits that would be bailing on their verbal commitments to UNC after this obvious probation that's coming their way?
October 6th, 2010 at 10:07 AM ^
Does anyone else feel we are attracting a lot more offensive talent and too little defensive talent.
Recruits should notice GERG's shiny hair!!!
