If Stanford rolls it's kind of like Michigan's JV team winning too. We're so good we have one of the best coaches in the country as our backup plan; it's like having Denard and Tate together.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:49 PM ^
ND's secondary is making Luck look like a Heisman trophy candidate. He cannot miss on 3rd down.
September 25th, 2010 at 4:51 PM ^
Ha! Trading endzone INT's in Fayetteville.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:04 PM ^
Ruh-Roh! Could it be, 'Bama and Texas on upset alert?
September 25th, 2010 at 5:09 PM ^
look at the historic programs who are down. Notre Dame, Alabama, Texas, and Penn State. I wonder when the last time all four of those lost in the same day before.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:10 PM ^
I'm typically very pro-Big 10, but I can't help being thrilled at how awful Purdue looked and how vulnerable Penn State looks. Wins are wins, and Michigan needs lots of them. Thoughts?
September 25th, 2010 at 5:14 PM ^
Purdue and PSU and their fans sure didn't have any qualms about putting the W in their records when they've played our weak teams the past few years.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:33 PM ^
Penn State's offense looks like Michigan's last year after Forcier was injured.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:12 PM ^
If Alabama's Offense was half as good as pundits thought they'd be killing Ark. There's still a half to go, but it's not like Ark is some defensive monster.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:16 PM ^
Brian Kelly is in shock, he didn't know you could kick a FG at the end of the half instead of throwing it out of the end zone.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:26 PM ^
SHHHHHH!!!!! I told Rodriguez that field goals were illegal, and I don't want him to figure it out.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:23 PM ^
Hopefully BSU Alabama and Texas all lose.
The more chaos the better.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:28 PM ^
The SEC's digital network rocks, but not as much as the five TV channels the Big 10 has on my cable system in SoCal. HAHA!!
September 25th, 2010 at 5:32 PM ^
LMAO UCLA up 19-3pending XP
Lose Texas LOSE
September 25th, 2010 at 5:45 PM ^
Stanford is making Te'o look like Ezeh.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:58 PM ^
Te'o is a good athlete, but he overcommits to everything. A counter based team like Stanford will eat him alive until he learns discipline.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:46 PM ^
I'm depressed watching this Stanford kicker dominate..
September 25th, 2010 at 5:53 PM ^
Mallet is looking good right now and Arkansas is playing tough, but this Alabama offense is just not that impressive. I never thought of the SEC as a great offensive conference, though, so maybe this shouldn't come as a surprise.
September 25th, 2010 at 5:55 PM ^
near the end of the third quarter...
September 25th, 2010 at 6:00 PM ^
sorry to all. Posted the Mallet question to another thread (even though I think it belongs there...).
Arkansas is the perfect team to expose the young defensive seconday of Alabama. The Crimson Tide will still excel, but it's a good matchup for the Razorbacks.
Now, for UCLA beating Texas...I can't explain that...
September 25th, 2010 at 6:01 PM ^
Stanford's got three turnovers and is still up 13 on the road. They're a good team.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:09 PM ^
September 25th, 2010 at 6:15 PM ^
Arkansas' D needs to step it up big time on this next drive.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:24 PM ^
I have little faith in them. I think Mallet is going to have to save the day.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:19 PM ^
Still can't believe my eyes. UCLA is thwamped by 35 to Stanford yet has no problem going on the road and taking it to Texas? Stanford looks damn good. Also, NBC had a nice short on Jim Harbaugh's first phone call from Bo when he got the job at San Diego.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:26 PM ^
The suck from Arkansas' D can be heard around the world. They just played way over their heads in the 1st half. If they hold Bama to a FG here that would be a miracle.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:40 PM ^
Mallett became a nightmare.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:41 PM ^
Too bad Tacopants let that go through his hands. Totally not Mallet's fault. Hope it doesn't hurt his Heisman chances.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:41 PM ^
Mallett still shows that tendency to force a throw or two....Looks like Mallett is gonna get one chance to drive them down for the win unless McElroy continues to stand in the pocket with no presence and get rocked and fumbles one.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:45 PM ^
Hoping he can make a couple play on this drive.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:43 PM ^
September 25th, 2010 at 6:44 PM ^
taking them down for a winning td against one of the best defenses in the country. I say 3:1. Any takers? Mgopoints on the line.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:49 PM ^
I was sad when Weis was fired, because he made it so much fun to hate Notre Dame. But, turns out it's still really fun to cheer against Kelly and Notre Dame. Good to learn.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:51 PM ^
I guess I have to say something besides the subject line. Ooops.
EDIT: That was referring to Mallett's late interception, not ND issue.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:50 PM ^
Jeez Mallett....that big of an arm and it's not 10 rows deep is unexcuseable for that.
Terrible Terrible decision by Ryan there, I feel bad for the kid.
September 25th, 2010 at 6:51 PM ^
I will take a mobile QB over a pocket passer every day of the week and twice on Sunday's. Hate to say it, but RR was right not to cater his offense to Mallett.
September 25th, 2010 at 7:53 PM ^
IMO, the biggest shock of the day is that EMU somehow scored 20 points against OSU. How is that possible?
September 25th, 2010 at 8:02 PM ^
I think UCLA beating Texas in Austin is the shock of the day.
September 25th, 2010 at 8:59 PM ^
I am legitimately less surprised by that as I am by an 0-4 EMU team scoring more on the OSU defense than any of its other opponents (Miami's special teams scored 14 of their 24).
I actually thought Texas was ripe for the upset. Their offense has been out of synch this year.
September 25th, 2010 at 7:59 PM ^
I suppose I will root for S. Carolina on the theory that an Auburn loss helps us with Dee Hart.

September 25th, 2010 at 9:40 PM ^
Did I just hear that right, Marge Schott Stadium?! Damn, does Cincy have a Hitler Hall too?
September 25th, 2010 at 10:27 PM ^
Patrick Peterson (LSU CB) just struck the pose after a punt return for a touchdown.
1. Isn't it way too early for that (Plus it was planned, which is far less awesome than Denard's natural pose)
2. Who does he think he is?
September 25th, 2010 at 10:39 PM ^
Every time you think Boise is going to shit down this game, OSU pulls out something to keep themselves alive. They are certainly being helped by the amount of penalties being called on Boise.
I missed the hit on James Rodgers, but from the sounds of it, he got rocked and is out for the game.
September 25th, 2010 at 11:09 PM ^
So, Musberger was talking about how the blue field became blue. Then he had to ask what the field would look like if it was green like other fields. My first thought was; well, its pretty f-ing simple, Brent. It would look like every other freaking football field... THEN, they even had to have the guys in the "truck" manipulate the picture color to make the damned blue field green.
Anyone else seen the movie Idiocracy?
September 25th, 2010 at 11:13 PM ^
Les Miles vs. Bill Stewart. Which team's crappy coach hurts them the least?
September 25th, 2010 at 11:15 PM ^
Oy Vey.
Now I see Minnesota is losing to NIU in the 4th, at home.
September 25th, 2010 at 11:22 PM ^
Yeah. Minnesota is easily the worst team in the Big Ten. Fight win bleh.
