Congrats to both Kylee

Congrats to both Kylee Botterman and Sam Mikulak for bringing home the national AA champs for Michigan. I wonder if that has ever happened before?

All gymnasts get full ride

All gymnasts get full ride scholarships, besides walk-ons of course. Gymnastics clubs cost a lot of money, so many parents make the decision clear: you either work hard enough to get a scholarship for college or you don't do gymnastics.

Hogie time I think. Although

GO BLUE!

Mental highlights

-Stu laying down the SLAM from the behind-the-back no look dish from Dmo

-Vogrich having a great series - a 3, a steal and layup, and a backdoor, and then another backdoor that they goaltended

-Morgan turning it up in the second half

-Tobias Harris not having any points in the second half

-REBOUNDING!

Bring it on Hampton/Duke.

^^ This is the best answer to this thread. Prices originally bumped up when the Suez Canal workers went on strike - they don't produce, but are a major gateway to the oil supplies. Add to that the current unrest in Libya, Saudi Arabia, et al and you have escalating gas prices in the rest of the world.

HAGELIN IS GOD. THAT IS ALL.

Our 3PT percentage was better

Our 3PT percentage was better than our FT percentage. Baffling.

You should make it a triple

You should make it a triple header - men's gymnastics takes on #3 Illinois at 1:00PM at Cliff Keen. They haven't been the same as last years national championship team due to injury, but I wouldn't count them out just yet.

not so good.

not so good.

This

He was listed behind Cam before he went down with injury, if I remember correctly. I don't remember him much from the spring game though, so not sure if he would have been an upgrade from Vinopal after Cam moved to spur.

Well 55 is currently Jibreel

Well 55 is currently Jibreel Black on defense (Hopefully that jersey still has some BG voodoo magic left in it).

44 was Moundros. Would like to see Kerridge continue the #44 FB if possible.

I saw Lloyd Brady in the

I saw Lloyd Brady in the parking lot after the game tonight. I rolled down my window to yell that he was my favorite and he smiled at me.

I can die happy now.

The world is slowly returning

The world is slowly returning to normal!

Simply perfect.

Simply perfect.

Good point. We'll just have

Good point. We'll just have to wait to see who Ferrigno likes back there. It would be nice to have Dileo become the go to guy to prevent WR injuries (although to be fair, Hemingway's injury wasn't from KR and he did have one excellent return on the one returnable punt he caught this year.

I wonder if he will be used

I wonder if he will be used in KR/PR, as some of the recruiting services have indicated he might. Odoms did a damn good job in the Gator Bowl considering he hadn't really handled that job since 2008 when he still had fumble-itus. Dileo showed flashes, although as someone pointed out he/Gallon/TRob might be the most likely to transfer to a system more suited to their skill sets.

Either way, Justice easily has the most entertaining twitter of any of the recruits.

His recently signed contract

His recently signed contract goes til 2015. Maybe then.

Do you think we have a shot

Do you think we have a shot with Corwin Brown?

(Also realized I'm talking about a coach like a recruit, just go with it).

Seriously. What a bizarre

Seriously. What a bizarre call.

Seeing as my only rooting interest

is Woodson, I kinda wish he had returned that KO for a TD and struck the pose.

I actually found the loss to

I actually found the loss to Minny quite cathartic and allowed me to give up hope instead of trying to constantly rationalize this season. No one expected anything from this team this season. No seniors, no returning stars, we were picked to be last in the big 10. Much like in football, the non-conference play might have raised expectations for this team, but that doesn't change the fact that weren't supposed to win any games. The fact that we are able to push teams like Cuse, OSU, and KU at this stage is very encouraging. The energy provided by the new assistants is encouraging. Hardaway Jr. is encouraging.

I just don't understand why people are upset when they are the same people who expected mediocrity and worse. Next year is the true test for Belein, IMO.

It's Crisler. If it doesn't

It's Crisler. If it doesn't sell out for OSU and KU, then it won't sell out for Minny.

There's a will call window in

There's a will call window in Crisler I believe.

This is, unfortunately, a very true statement.

This

does not sound promising

ED:

" QB Force

I am proud to have been part of Michigan Football history and will always cherish the memory."

Well I guess thats that.
Michigan BB != Michigan FB.

Michigan BB != Michigan FB. Football drives the entire athletic departement and controls public opinion of Michigan as brand (as DB likes to say). Basketball is not nearly as profitable, and after the NCAA issues, JB was brought in to bring stability - he runs probably the cleanest program in the B10. He has overseen the development of the new training center, and also pushed for the forthcoming Crisler renovations.

For the record, it's not like

For the record, it's not like we have near the recent success of OSU, MSU, or IU, or even Minny. Indiana has had success historically and is one of the top states for basketball in the country.

YjA

While I hate the whole "ITS MICHIGAN" argument for football, it is even less relevant for basketball. The last time Michigan was nationally relevant was when they placed under NCAA sanctions. Recruits these days didn't grow up watching the Fab Five, they mostly grew up when Michigan was completely dysfunctional as a program.

Also asking coaches to spot diamonds in the rough is a little silly to me. If every coach could spot them, then they aren't diamonds in the rough, they're probably top recruits. You want sleepers? How about Novak who is the vocal leader of the time, and no other offers out of HS? Or JMo, our most solid post player, also barely recruited.

Have you watched Darius as

Have you watched Darius as this season has progressed? He has recently been "that guy" driving to the rim and making his own offense (See: the one that got us into OT with Kansas).

Criticize his scheme, fine.

Criticize his scheme, fine. But I really don't understand the whole "Belein can't recruit" meme.  Dmo, Smot, and Vogrich were  20th ranked in their positions (Smot 84 over), as well as Hardaway Jr at 94th overall. Theres no post presence partially due to transfers and injury - Cronin's hip esploded, Jmo was injured last year...Next years class is already looking good with Brundidge (75 overall) and Trey Burke (91) overall. Until the program starts a) winning b)improves Crisler into something resembling a modern arena full of excited fans, thats about as high as you can expect.

Denard smiled

and in that instant, all was right in the world.

I would honestly almost

I would honestly almost rather have K.C. Keeler than Les Miles and all the crazy that comes with him.

The guy next to me at the

The guy next to me at the Gator Bowl said this car's owner lived in his house. As if anything could make that day worse, and then this happened...

I will always remember my first Michigan game

And how Denard Robinson made it something to remember

Miami is imploding quite

Miami is imploding quite beautifully, if I do say so myself.

OSU up 14-0 quick. Yeesh.

False start on 3rd & 18. Good

False start on 3rd & 18. Good Grief indeed.

Impressive throw from the MD

Impressive throw from the MD QB, got hit in the face right as he threw. Receiver just outruns the safety/cb to the endzone.

ECU blocks the PAT.

Pam Ward will make this

Pam Ward will make this unwatchable.

The INT on the first play not such a good sign either.

EDIT: ECU gives it right back on a failed 4th and 1 run.

Thank god they're both option

Thank god they're both option teams, this game will definitely be over before MNF.

Most interesting part:

Tay Odoms could possibly play. Goat goat goat.

Pilares went back to receive

Pilares went back to receive the first punt and was injured on the play, and did not return.

A few good things

Another maize long sleeve T, a #16 jersey that has yet to leave my body, and oh yeah monet for flights, hotel, and tickets to the Gator Bowl.

Life is good.

Coming home to NYC for breaks

Coming home to NYC for breaks and getting random "Go Blues!" on the street. Also, the Irish pub across the street that is covered in Michigan gear and gives out free drinks to M fans on game days.
