Jack Miller commits to Michigan
Wooo, dude has a ton of offers.
Good timing. I'll use your thread. :)
Finally, good news in a sea of bad.
The more D commits the better.
... for offensive line.
What is he now? Don't tell me he's another slot ninja.
He's 6'-4" tall - weighs in the 240's and does a 4.78 40 ... slot ninja no - fast big guy yes
I think he weighs in the 270s...
I didnt read the story...damn
...what's his GPA/SAT/ACT?
/s
He's GOT to be qualified. Right?
*crickets*
Anywho, one of the silver linings of the recent pre-enrollment attrition is that our 2011 class can be a little bigger, so we definitely have room for another DE. Welcome, Jack!
EDIT: I forgot we were after him as an O-lineman. Even better.
3.8, reported offer from Stanford. I assume that means he's a sure thing.
/quasi sarcasm
He looks like he has a mean streak, and we could use some of that on either side of the trenches. Glad to have him on board.
Are we looking at the same picture? Is it the double chin or the North Face fleece that gives you this idea? Regardless, it is nice to receive a commitment from an offensive lineman.
It's gotta be the fleece!
I know it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but it's nice to get out of the dry spell and get another recruit.
Go Blue, and welcome aboard!
This is a win-win.
Who's next?
Kevin Sousa.
In his interview with TomVH he said that he is best friends with Strongsville TE Ray Hamilton, currently ranked the #19 TE on Rivals and the #15 player in the state of Ohio ...

Perhaps Ray might be the next domino to fall
I would wager on Sousa before Hamilton.
I've been holding out, but now that I'm 24 and physically ready, I'm going to walk on.
Hello: Wichitan Wolverine!
as Ricky Reyes 2.0
Probably more like a Kovacs...sans ability to stop anyone.
Goodbye Blimpy Burger.
He'd do great in the obstacle course at the end of Double Dare.
Along with another 30-35 pounds, and you get what appears to be a pretty damn good pulling guard. Can't wait to see him get out in space and after some LBs and even the level after that on our O-Line.
Now I have something to base my piss-poor, ameteuristic evaluation on: eager eyes and quick feet, body type will be receptive to the Barwis-ing to come. Red-shirt! #46, rated 78 on ESPN. He just looks like a Michigan OL, doesn't he?
Welcome Jack!
Glad to see some footage of the kid, but that goddamn introduction takes up a third of the video.
Welcome to your new family!
This is good news, as well as not surprising.
I have mentioned a few times here that I know a position coach at the school--not his position coach, mind you--and he mentioned to me that even though his is a big OSU family that the kid really wanted a Michigan offer bad. Once the offer finally came, it was but a matter of time.
So, we missed out on the Williams kid here in Toledo. Nebraska was going to be tough to overcome. But, we got Miller. OSU got a stud out of Whitmer. It's a pretty heady year for Toledo high school football
It seems like that will be the case next year as well in terms of DE talent from Toledo.
Real nice! as a native toledoan, it's good to see another local head north instead of south.
Rivals noted that the coaches want him to play interior OL.
Luckily, your colors don't have to change much:
Hail to you, O St. John's High
Cherished moments never die
True to you we'll always be
Our hearts filled with loyalty
Praise, all ye Titans,
Her glory proud and bold
Guide us onward Alma Mater
Hail the Blue and Gold
Anybody else see this kid playing the Center position ?
Actually, I see him at guard. He looks very versitile and seems quick off of the line, which would be great for the zone read and as a pulling guard. i am hoping Pace locks down the C position for us after Molk is gone.
... we can land ryan kelly
at 6'4" I hope gardner is the QB
I am starting to love the holidays more. This is the 2nd recruit to commit this cycle just before a national holiday. What i am espcially happy about, is that he is being recruited for OL. I am hoping he is a stream in the river of commitments we are about to receive.
.
Come' on down Ray Hamilton!
(those guys are good friends as i recall, right?)
How's his pad level?
Better than his measurable intangibles.
No sugarcoat?
aboard young Mr. Miller glad to see you have decided on the Leaders and Best. Now stop smiling and go go road grade somebody!
