"The face of the operation is Briatore (referred to exclusively in the film by his colleagues and angry, chanting detractors as "Flavio"), an anthropomorphic radish who spends most of his time at QPR plotting to fire all of the managers."

Early indications are that he is doing well down here. Everyone in Charlotte is excited. I think he will do really well even with Cam Newton throwing to him.

Not that it will matter, but the PG/CB Rollins was a much better football recruit than he was a basketball recruit. UC, UCONN, and WVU among others all were after him for football. He just liked basketball more.

The difference will be that Denard could take a hit with his injured hand. Miller won't be able to take any hits on that shoulder no matter what position he is at. I can't imagine Miller or Meyer would risk putting him in as an RB.

But you also have to remember that by then we won't have underclassmen all over our line. This should be the last season we have inexperience due to recruiting. Next year and most likely every year going forward our line should be upperclassmen and/or returning starters. So if we keep recruiting as wel as we have been, even if Cole was a 5th year, he might only be marginally better than his experienced backup.

Virginia Tech will be the second best defense that Bama faces this year. Plus VT has all summer to prepare and Alabama was breaking in 3 new OL. Alabama also has two weeks to prepare for this game.
Alabama wins by 3 scores IMO.

Prince Michael Sammons from Cincinnati. He is a 6'7 255 pound Sophomore Defensive End. Apparantly he is in Ann Arbor this weekend. He is an athletic freak from Nigeria. Was playing basketball but his future is in football.

In other recruiting news, according to Allen Trieu, Tommy Doles has committed to Northwestern.
|2 years 14 weeks ago||He would be the best commit||
He would be the best commit Beilein has ever had if he commits. His skill set for a 7 footer is UNREAL. He can move and handle the ball like a wing, but defends inside at a very high level. And unlike any Beilein Michigan recruit, he actually has post game. Not sure how much he likes us, but it would be a huge pick up for Michigan if we got him.
|2 years 14 weeks ago||This. A lot of people are||
This. A lot of people are suggesting that Irvin plays the 4. I just can't see it happening unless he got a lot stronger. If GRIII and Irvin are in the game together, Irvin will always play a guard before GRIII.
|2 years 14 weeks ago||1. McGary 2. Walton 3.||
3. Depends on how tough our non conference schedule is. If its tough, Walton will be the starter. If its not tough and we cruise through, Albrecht will be.
4. Same as 3. Tough, Irvin. Easy, Stauskas. Both scenerios, Irvin and Walton will start by the big ten tourney.

Not with Irving there... but it still would be funny...
|2 years 15 weeks ago||I think moving GRIII to the 3||
I think moving GRIII to the 3 benefits Irvin. The open 4 guard pg centric offense we ran last year opened things up for Stauskas. I don't think Stauskas will be as effective playing the 2 in a bigger, more defensive lineup. I think Irvin will start and Stauskas will back up him and GRIII and during any time we go small next year.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||His midrange game is very good||
He can hit any shot on the court. He doesn't over dribble to create his offense either. As soon as he is open he pulls up. I tend to agree with you on the best midrange game out of any recruit Beilein has had, although Burke had very good midrange game as well.
You said guys as athletic as him don't work on that part of their game. In my opinion, he doesn't have GRIII athleticism. He is closer to, but maybe not even THJ athleticism. But he is much longer and that helps his game on both ends of the floor.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||Coached against Irvin for a few years||
I tend to agree with the potential NBA talent. He could be a star. He is a better ball handler and defender than THJ and has much better perimeter skills than GRIII. He has a game similar to a less physical Joe Johnson as he loves to shoot off of the pass and has a pretty nice pull up game. He is closer to 6'6 than 6'8 and although more physical than Stauskas, he is not suited to play the 4.
I think fans will fall in love with him because of his personality. It is Denard like where he smiles a ton and isn't much of a trash talker. He is a great teammate and an even better opponent. His teammates all seemed to love playing with him. I believe that in Michigan's system, he has the ability to be a one and done type player. Even if THJ stays, I think he should be a starter.
