In other recruiting news, according to Allen Trieu, Tommy Doles has committed to Northwestern. |
| 3 weeks 6 days ago | He would be the best commit |
He would be the best commit Beilein has ever had if he commits. His skill set for a 7 footer is UNREAL. He can move and handle the ball like a wing, but defends inside at a very high level. And unlike any Beilein Michigan recruit, he actually has post game. Not sure how much he likes us, but it would be a huge pick up for Michigan if we got him. |

This. A lot of people are suggesting that Irvin plays the 4. I just can't see it happening unless he got a lot stronger. If GRIII and Irvin are in the game together, Irvin will always play a guard before GRIII.

1. McGary 2. Walton 3. Depends on how tough our non conference schedule is. If its tough, Walton will be the starter. If its not tough and we cruise through, Albrecht will be. 4. Same as 3. Tough, Irvin. Easy, Stauskas. Both scenerios, Irvin and Walton will start by the big ten tourney. 5. McGary |

Not with Irving there... but it still would be funny... |
| 5 weeks 12 min ago | I think moving GRIII to the 3 |
I think moving GRIII to the 3 benefits Irvin. The open 4 guard pg centric offense we ran last year opened things up for Stauskas. I don't think Stauskas will be as effective playing the 2 in a bigger, more defensive lineup. I think Irvin will start and Stauskas will back up him and GRIII and during any time we go small next year. |
| 5 weeks 2 days ago | His midrange game is very good |
He can hit any shot on the court. He doesn't over dribble to create his offense either. As soon as he is open he pulls up. I tend to agree with you on the best midrange game out of any recruit Beilein has had, although Burke had very good midrange game as well.
You said guys as athletic as him don't work on that part of their game. In my opinion, he doesn't have GRIII athleticism. He is closer to, but maybe not even THJ athleticism. But he is much longer and that helps his game on both ends of the floor. |
| 5 weeks 3 days ago | Coached against Irvin for a few years |
I tend to agree with the potential NBA talent. He could be a star. He is a better ball handler and defender than THJ and has much better perimeter skills than GRIII. He has a game similar to a less physical Joe Johnson as he loves to shoot off of the pass and has a pretty nice pull up game. He is closer to 6'6 than 6'8 and although more physical than Stauskas, he is not suited to play the 4. I think fans will fall in love with him because of his personality. It is Denard like where he smiles a ton and isn't much of a trash talker. He is a great teammate and an even better opponent. His teammates all seemed to love playing with him. I believe that in Michigan's system, he has the ability to be a one and done type player. Even if THJ stays, I think he should be a starter. |

There isn't much difference between looking at Michigan playing its worst game of the year against Nebraska and looking at Duke playing its worst game of the year against Clemson. |

Don't know why this is such a hard concept to understand. If the board had only Michigan related topics it would be one thing, but when there are threads on the colts, the bachelor, and Terrell Suggs, the bitching is hypocritical and pointless. |

Supposedly he is in danger of losing his spot to the backup if he comes back. The backup is bigger faster and has a better arm |

Their defense was extremely young that season. Tons of sophomores. It wasn't Mattison's fault |

He is from Cincinnati. Went to Princeton in junior high and left to go to high school down in Florida. Him and Spencer Ware were in the same backfield in junior high |

Its not just you. He discredits everything Michigan does and is so one-sided. So annoying. |
