After the 2016 spring game (when Walker was an early enrollee) I saw him and a lot of football players at one of the South U bars. Let's just say Kareem could throw down some shots for a 17 year old.

I also ran into him the Friday night before the 2016 Maryland game at the McDonalds on Stadium with Shelton Johnson.

It's also a shame that we're going to imply that college dude who drinks beers lacks the steel and determination to succeed in life and football endeavors.

Well, you know who else drank beer as a freshman? Albert Fucking Einstein. It's true. Look it up. They call it "bier" in Canada, where he's from.

Best of luck to Kareem Walker. I hope no more stories of him eating or drinking (as an early enrollee) pop up and imply further dark and nefarious deeds.

ALSO - "In the move" sounds like "In the Mood" where my #millerheads at for some big band ha-ha's?

What else does "Let's just say Kareem could throw down some shots for a 17 year old" do, other than imply something? You think he's implying that this is the greatest 17 year old drinker he's ever seen? That was some kind of compliment?

You're not new here. Let me paint an often seen picture. Story A about washed out athlete. Followed shortly there after with anecdotal comment about how someone knew this was going to happen because of vaguely related story that has limited, if any, value.

Am I mad? Not likely. Is it cool to make some sort of implication based on one of the two times you saw another human being at a distance? No.

He said he saw the kid drinking shots. That's it. He didn't say, he was drinking shots instead of practicing or studying. He didn't say if the kid wasn't a drunk he would still be at UM. He also said he saw him at a McDonald's. Does that mean he had diabetes? He simply said the kid could put down some shots. You made the jump.

He said: "Let's just say Kareem could throw down some shots for a 17 year old".

Hey, if you want to assume that this useless anecdote means absolutely nothing. Go for it. I don't have a problem with you being either stupid or intentionally naive. Here's your high five. ?

Good luck, Kareem.

I had high hopes for him and, as far as I know, he seemed to be a fairly high character guy. Just maybe not ready for college. Hope he finds a place where he can contribute.

I hope Kareem finds a landing place for one good year of college football.

Re: Throwing down some shots... I went to Michigan in the late 1970s (drinking age was 18 then) and many a star player, All-B1G and All-American, some later All-Pro, could throw down shots and more. All without leaving West Quad.

It was also reported today that their RB Kylin Hill decided to opt out the rest of the season to prepare for the draft. You'd have thought some snaps were on the table for Kareem

How does he still have eligibility? This would be his fifth year in college so unless he’s getting a sixth year medical redshirt year of eligibility or I’m misremembering something, I figured 2020 was his last year of eligibility no matter what happened. Maybe he’ll be on the next season of Last Chance U.

Either way, I can’t blame him for leaving. He’s a RB, and playing as a RB in a Mike Leach air raid system is a one way pass to irrelevance.
