ESPN mistakenly previews Mississippi State against Michigan in the Outback Bowl. Apparently, Michigan will have a hard time stopping Mississippi State RB Aeris Williams.

ESPN just had a breakdown of Mississippi State playing in the Outback Bowl against Michigan. One problem? South Carolina is in it. https://t.co/9ZSNQ0jPQi

And the whole time, there is a scroll at the bottom that says "Michigan - South Carolina"
This is what happems when you fire all of your competent people and keep Joey Galloway.

Apparently, I was a little too grateful.

You layoff a bunch of production people, regardless of their competency, as a cost-cutting move because you spent too much on sports TV rights, you are more likely to get nonsense like this.
December 11th, 2017 at 2:31 PM ^
Not to mention paying seven-figure salaries to color commentators and studio analysts.

Apparently, some of those laid off where from their proof reading and QC department.

Pretty hard to stop a RB when he's playing in a different state.

Hey, just for fun watch Don Brown install a package for the South Carolina game desIgned to stop Williams in his game against Louisville. Like, we'll be watching Miss St--Louisville, and all of a sudden, BAM!, Hudson in maize and blue, appearing out of nowhere on a blitz.

He'll still complete a wheel route on our LBs on 3rd and 2,640,739.

ESPN is total garbage now. It's fucking sad. I used to love the channel 20 years ago.

I saw this before, on a whim, and I thought I was going crazy. I thought I saw Miss St in those clips but thought to myself "there is no way ESPN fucked his up, I'm seeing shit!"

Well not really but ESPN will probably preview this matchup eventually
December 10th, 2017 at 11:15 PM ^
And it wasn't a case of just some overworked ESPN staffer who filled out a list wrong—it involved at least two ESPN analyst/commentators who had to spend time discussing the matchups between UM and the Fighting Cowbells, in addition to video people and other production types. None of them were aware of what the correct matchup was?

I feel like Stephen A. Smith needs a paycut and they need to spend some of that money on hiring some actual goddamn competent editors.
Shit even I know Avid and FinalCutPro

I heard two of ESPN's generic talking heads pick USC because they "Can't see O'korn or Speight beating that defense." It really is sad to see the state they're in.
December 11th, 2017 at 1:51 AM ^
Last time I looked, I've seen very few articles that have led off talking about Peters, unless it's about him leaving.
