Who's on KR and PR? (no inside info - honest question)
I preface this by saying, I've got no info and I would've included this question in the Camp Update thread if it wasn't blown to bits.
There was a lot of intrigue on this in the depth chart thread and I continue to see comments related to our return game.
We all know what Peppers was capable of, but his stability as the PR guy - saving yards was also huge.
Anyway, my hope is the insiders who lurk MGoBlog will provide shed some light on this for us. OR someone will just so happy to post some additional camp notes here on MGoBlog.
I've said this before: RT, the backup LBs, CB, P, KR/PR are my (personal) top camp battles - any info/insight is welcome.
In the meantime, please feel free to use this thread for speculation on who you THINK will win those battles or who you WANT to win those battles.
If nothing else, feel free to comment on what you hate somewittyname.
GO BLUE!

Let's just say...I'm not happy about it.
(in all seriousness, it's obviously a title I'd rather not have...but if I lost it - I hate that it was to that douchebag. Like I said in another thread, I was just hoping it was someone with an awesome drunken night who'd be apologetic in the morning. Instead, this fucker doubles down.)

would you want a 3 star recruit returning kicks??? What's that say about UM's return game??

I'm not sure if Sam said this or not but UMBIG11 said Nate Johnson would be the punt returner with a few guys, including Nate Johnson, battling it out for KR duties.

I didn't get the feeling that was set in stone. It was early in fall camp and others are getting the chance to surpass Johnson. PR is one of the jobs that could change quickly. What happens if someone drops a few in practice?

Ambry Thomas on PR, maybe both. Just a guess, no insider info, but a better guess than Ulizio!

I guess umbig11 can't post in here since he's not an insider

Would love to see McDoom get some PR\KR touches, dude was pretty electric last year with the ball in his hands.
August 20th, 2017 at 12:09 PM ^
I was scrolling through responses to see if McDoom was mentioned by someone else so I'd reply in the right place.
His was the first name that came to mind after reading the OP.

He should certainly be a contender. Plus, we would be able to hear McDoooooooooooom more often!

I always hated the 'you suck!' chant. I feel like that started during my college years ('02-'07) although I could be mistaken. It always felt classless. I would happily see the crowd move on from it.

I'm neutral about it, but I hated it during some of the RR games where we were down by a million points chanting "you suck" at the team kicking our asses.

This was discussed on the wtka roundtable a week ago. Sam was hearing that they were looking at Nate Johnson for punt returns but also mentioned that Oliver Martin could get a look. There were a bunch of guys in the mix for kick returns including DPJ, Ambry Thomas, Nate Johnson, Chris Evans, etc.
August 20th, 2017 at 12:17 PM ^
We lost a starting CB in Jeremy Clark on a return there last year. I wouldn't want to risk DPJ or Chris Evans there. The rest are probably ok to gamble with.

It's actually Jahlil Beats, not jungle. A friend showed me one day and it was the most inconsequential mind-blowing moment of my life

As a total aside, I lived in 5th VT when I was in Markley in 02-03.

I have no inside information whatsoever, but looking at guys whose skill set seems to match on the roster I'd like to see one of these:
1. DPJ
2. Samuels
3. Johnson
4. McDoom
5. Higdon
6. Thomas
A few of those you might not want to burn a potential RS over, but who knows.

You just described AC. He wasn't Barry Sanders jump-cut, but instead had an uncanny sense of how to shift to holes. Just electric.
