Jabrill Peppers signs with adidas
Sorry, WD. A little surprising, but adidas has been aggressive about signing top draft prospects since they've scaled back their big-time college football/basketball presence.

I't OK, WD
will have to bring his Hot Pockets to his room tonight because he'll be too distraught to eat dinner with his family.
This. Is. Perfect.
+Infinity on the Misery reference and it's appropriateness

My thoughts exactly. Get that money young man and Go Blue!
What is this?
No clue. But I can't stop watching it.
Put yourself down for a Nobel Prize for posting this. That is freakin' brilliant.
Almost as brilliant as this (from the same source):
That earthquake you thought you just felt was the conniption WD had when he read this...
All I read was "Jabrill is getting some of that $$$" and that's all that matters to me
Pay. The man. His money.
Don't worry, WD will start his own thread and then re-title it about new Jordan socks after the negbang.
If I understand these deals correctly, we're really just talking about shoes. Shoes weren't even close to the main problem I had with Adidas when they supplied Michigan.
As others have said, glad to see Peppers getting paid. It's not like this endorsement is going to cause some NFL franchise to go full bumblebee.*
*Never, ever, go full bumblebee.
I think all you need to know about adidas uniforms besides the bumblebee is to look at the NBA. They have been supplying their uniforms since 2006, with the stipulation that the adidas logo cannot be visible on the jerseys.
This is the same NBA that will allow advertisements on their jerseys next year (and also the nike swoosh now). They would rather have tacky ads on the uniforms instead of an adidas logo.
If the NBA thought Adidas offered that shoddy of a product, it wouldn't agree to the deal. They've simply changed their attitude about advertising in recent years. They used to be opposed to it anywhere on their uniforms and now they're (unfortunately IMO) going to be allowing it.
I hope Adidas makes a Jabrill Peppers Boost.
Like you said shoes weren't the problem. I know Nike/Jordan collectors who buy and wear Adidas Boost because they are so comfortable.
LeVert was never handcuffed, but he was briefly foot-cuffed at one point. In a sign that nothing at all was going the Wolverines’ way, his shoe broke within seconds of a 3-pointer from Aubrey Dawkins. A frustrated LeVert was left unable to stop a Connecticut fast break

Somebody hacked WD's account.
(Agree 100%, faux "WD".)
My Peppers Lions jersey will still be Nike.
Ugh, I wouldn't even wish that fate upon my least favorite buckeye.
Lions are at least an occasional playoff team with a good QB. The Cleveland Browns is a fate that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. The last time they were in the playoffs, pretty sure Harbaugh was in the league.
New Balance is a better shoe than Adidas, so I'd be extra happy for him then.
Disclaimer: I have no opinion, knowledge or fucks to give if NB is better than Adidas or not.
Maybe he could rock some Kangaroos.
what kind of cheese comes along with this? He's fairly high profile, but not a Heisman-winning QB/RB. I have no idea what folks at what one might consider the "next tier" get on initial deals. Anyone have insight into this space?
I'm a bit surprised that he didn't sign with Jordan. Jordan football has a penchant for signing playmakers . They definitely took care of our players this past years with retro player edition kicks. On the other hand, Jabrill wore Adidas in high school and for two of three years of college.
And Twitter is a'rage from all the cheesedick Spartans and Buckeyes who are offended by the mere metion of Jabrill Peppers.
I hope those dumbasses convulse very time they go to the spice rack.
Yep. Meanwhile, Sparty can keep riding the McDowell hype train:
But per Edholm, he stood out away from the TV screen for the wrong reasons. One NFL team told Edholm of McDowell, “Worst interview we did.” Another reportedly said, “Awful interview. Awful.”
