Is because Harbaugh didn't tell him what to do in that situation over and over again during the time out. Are you suggesting that Harbaugh told him over and over to do something, and that 30 seconds later, with the game on the line, he just forgot? My better theory is that Harbaugh just didn't tell him in the first place.

Y'all are delusional. MSU just gave up 54 points to Northwestern, who scored 7 points against an FCS school earlier this season. Dantonio's team has quit. They're also bad. They aren't going to suddenly perk up and learn how to play football because Michigan shows up.

We are going to obliterate MSU. Cant wait to see Taco, Wormley, Gary, Mone, Glasgow murder their Rutgers-level Offensive Line. Oh and their shitty Special Teams punting to Peppers will be hilarious. This will be an absolute beat down.

This take is so terrible.  It's like you haven't watched a single second of an MSU game this season.  It's like you haven't watched Indiana, BYU, and Northwestern(!) gash the Spartan run defense.  It's like you haven't watched everyone bomb the pathetic Spartan pass defense.

Good grief.

There are a few differences this year:

- MSU is not scoring on offense this game.  Penn State 10 points, Wisconsin 7 points, Rutgers 0 points.  Michigan's problems from the non-conference games have been cleaned up.  With the troubles the Spartans have on offense this year against normal teams, they ain't moving the ball at all on us.

- State could do all the things you say on defense, and I think you're right and they will.  Then Jabrill trots onto the field and one of two things happens:

1) He edges the Spartan defense on a jet screen with speed they have not seen yet this year, and picks up 60 yards.  Or,

2) The Spartan defense looses its mind; three different guys position themselves to counter Peppers, and Jake Butt goes untouched up the seam for a TD.

- After 10 years of eating Dantonio's you-know-what, and after last year's wackadoodle ending, Michigan will be as fired up for this game as MSU is.  Yes the Spartans will be ready to play their best game of the year; so will Michigan.

Wait - you really think Michigan - MSU will look like OSU - Wisconsin? Those were two teams who had shown they were very good. MSU has not, in fact they have shown they are downright bad. MSU isn't an up and down team. They have don't nothing good all year. That won't be a coin flip.

It sucks but a portion of our fanbase has become a bunch of insufferaable pussies. Mork has been a grea coach but his team sucks this year. None of that even matters because Michigan is rediculously good this year, and these people will not get to enjoy it until it's over.

Dantonio lost to Carr, went 1-2 against Hoke, and should have lost to UM despite a seemingly massive talent and experience difference last season.  Dantonio has always struck me as a competent coach but he has benefitted from a down UM, and this season his team has looked profoundly bad.

True but he did face him last year when everyone on here predicted we would blow them out after Purdue and Rutgers almost beat them. I'm not saying we are going to lose. Not saying that at all. But people always think we will do much better against them than what we actually end up doing. I think they will play their best game against us.

So why doesn't that include the previous 9 tries as well? You can't say don't pay attention to how their playing NOW, but we should then pay attention to how we've handled the last 9! In the past 9 years Michigan was a best decent, and often down right bad, while MSU was decent to down right very good. This year, however, Michigan is the best it's been in a long time. N

If you think State is just going to come out and roll over for us, THAT'S delusional. Beating us would make their whole season, so don't think for a minute that they won't put everything into that game, more than into any other game this year. Their QB looked great last weekend, they have a great WR, better than the one who scorched us last year, and NFL caliber talent at every position on defense. They will make it tough all afternoon.

Now now. I'm not going that far. I think they look awful this year. We should beat them easily. But it still scares the hell out of me based on the past. If we beat them 42-0, next year I won't have this irrational fear. I feared them last year when everyone on this board was predicting a blowout win for us. We should dig that score prediction thread up.

Tyler O'Connor was 13-21 for 281 yards and 3 TDs in less than 3 quarters. Shelton has 28 catches for 452 yds and 4 TDs Add Corley on to that, and their top two receivers are more productive than ours McDowell, Riley, Bullough and Nicholson will all get drafted off their defense. In other words, everything I said was absolutely true, and that makes me a troll? Um...ok, dude. If you say so. I'm almost tempted to actually make something up, to see what you'd call me then.

Want to know why MSU receivers have more production than Michigan's?  Because they've been playing from behind every game for the past month.

Also, something something 78-0 Rutgers might have a little to do with it.

Also also, let's check out Northwestern's defense versus Michigan's.  How many draft picks you think they've got over in Evanston?  I bet it's a lot less than over in Ann Arbor.
