Follow up question, oftentimes my household sponges accumulate an awful amount of buildup. What can I do to prevent this?

but does Newsome's injury potential chage the calculus for some top rated tackle prospects, either from the recruit's, *or the coachs'* perspective?

recruits with the likelihood they end up at UM and a little insight as to why you feel that way:
Leatherwood
Harris
Ruiz
Browning
Filiaga
Solomon
Alternatively: there are some current commits "looking around". Do you see any red flags pointing towards an imminent decommittment? And if so, who?
Thanks!

In particular to your second question, how is Samuels' committment holding up? He looks really good; hate to see the "soft" next to him on the Mgoboard.

During this last weekend, it sounds like a lot of the recruits (particularly OL) enjoyed their visits at least in part because they've made friends with each other and enjoyed being together. Most of those recruits, however, are not yet committed (at least not to UM). How much impact do you think it has on a recruit if a fellow recruit/friend signs up with a particular team or decides not to? If one of the "build a wall" recruits decides to come here, do you think it helps pull the other ones here as well? Does it depend in part on the position (e.g., OL, where you have 5 starters at all times on the field vs. HB where only one is on the field at a time so your friend could also be your competition)?
Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.

A few questions about LB recruiting: What LB position does Singleton project to in Don Brown's scheme? How many LB's is the staff looking to take? I've noticed that they have been ramping up their pursuit of some SAM linebackers (Faison-Walden, Shanon Reid, Falaniko), any reason for this?

Ok, but it is only logical to look at our recruiting as a whole and see the room for improvement. If we are doing what we are right now without having won anything in over a decade, going to the playoffs will help.
Also, our style of recruiting under Harbaugh has not been settling in one place. Going to the Playoffs will increase the amount of kids who have us on their radar off the bat simply because we are winning. Cali, SEC country, Texas, and the Midwest our plenty enough for us to pick and choose and get the 3rd best class consistently, even pushing OSU and Alabama every now and then.
October 3rd, 2016 at 6:52 PM ^
look. How could that not be true? Then there are the recruits that are already interested. I think we would all like our chances with the recruits that just visited a little more if we were the defending champions.

I second this question because it could lead to at least some interesting projections in the absence of much substantive stuff on the futures of some coaches at least yet. The whole idea of "in the midst of chaos, stability....and by the way, playoff contention if we play our cards right" might actually be enough to swing a kid here and there, I would imagine. Not expecting huge shifts, but I imagine you could potentially flip someone in the confusion.
