Bryan Mone news (great)
This is good.
Just saw Bryan Mone walking out of Schembechler. No brace. No crutches. Normal walk.

Suit him up.

If he is back and playing a good ammount of downs against Wisconsin, I don't see them scoring more than 17 points. Beat Wisconsin!

Arrrggghhh. Sorry, just stretching my legs in these tight MGoPoint huggers so you can get a faint glimpse of the outline.

but I'm not wrong, correct? MSU limited Wisconsin fairly well and only ceded so many points because of the turnover bug
September 28th, 2016 at 11:19 AM ^
future success then we have been pretty steady with the ball this season (knock on wood). Even our freshmen have been catching and handling the ball with confidence (still knocking. Knock knock knock).

tempered only by the concern that Wisconsin manages to generate turnovers near or in the Michigan red zone that alter that expectation.
My feeling is, Michigan will be generating so much confusion at the LOS with their alignments and stunting that the Badger's freshman signal caller will find it difficult to target his receivers with the kind of small window accuracy he demonstrated last week against MSU.
Of the Badger running backs last week, Clement seemed less productive than their backup who came in and showed real good vision, jump-cutting and tackle-breaking ability. I'd really like to see Michigan get this team into a lot of second and third and long situations, shutdown the running game and force them into becoming one-dimensional.

will put that 3-4 where it belongs, used solely against spread offenses. Our lineman will have to move one of those fat-ass front three out of the way for the fullback to cleanup on the linebacker. Deveon carries safety into end-zone and spikes him and the ball there.
Thats how I would draw success up. Then we won't have to bring submarine/gimmick plays out of the playbook....Go Blue!

Porbably shouldn't spike the safety. Excessive celebration. Just hand him gently to the official.
September 28th, 2016 at 12:21 PM ^
it's going to be a low scoring game. If it is higher scoring it's only because our offense is legit!
September 28th, 2016 at 12:54 PM ^
which should be scoring 21 points per game. Excellence demanded!

Word across the insiders has been something to the effect of "kid wants to/thinks he can play, staff will probably hold him out for this game but is continually evaluating his status throughout the week."
Maybe UMBig11 will weigh in...
September 28th, 2016 at 10:54 AM ^
He already weighed in yesterday and said Mone will not be playing.
September 28th, 2016 at 10:56 AM ^
Good, a cautious approach is best as we want to avoid a career endiung injury by rushing him back into action too quickly.
September 28th, 2016 at 7:10 PM ^
Then pull all the IOU's fate owes you and put in a word with your higher power, use the Force and we'll see if the power of all that is powerful can over ride the great UMBIG11. Then we will see if Mone takes the field Sat..... but I doubt it.

He is still limited. Everyone I have spoken to says he will not play Saturday. I think he suits up and warms up and then they hold him out. I don't think they even take a chance with him at Rutgers. After the bye week is the perfect opportunbity for him to play.

Wait, I thought Rutgers was our big rivalry game.

Thanks for the insight! It's always appreciated.

I don't think he'd make a significant difference in the Wiscy game anyway given how good the other guys are and the fact Taco is back. But down the road, he'll be a huge asset in the Big Ten stretch run. Good news though about him walking fine with no brace.

I'm not going to lie. I scrolled down, immediately, until I saw your avatar to get the scoop. Appreciate all of the insight!

He did have a brace and crutches last week though, so it's at least progress. Agree that it doesn't mean he'll play, and in fact I don't think he will this week.
