Does the quite concerns from those of you that didn't like seeing a 3 star prospect?

Maybe, but ESPN hadn't rated him yet, so it's not like they increased his rating just because he committed to Michigan. And Steuber seems like a prospect on the rise (with strong camp performances, recent offers, good weight change, etc.), so you'd expect a site that rates him more recently to rate him more positively.
EDIT: Plus, ESPN ranks him as the #41 OT. Scout ranks him as the #43 OT (a 3 star). Not much difference there.

quickly quite quiet. Thanks.
....and Michigan State fans everywhere pitch a salty bitch fit.
If Andrew committed to BC or UConn last week, you think his rating would've budged? Nope
It surely wouldn't. Good point!
affect his status as a player.
Every other school bitches their players aren't rated high enough. Michigan fans bitch because players get evaluated.
No because BC doesn't have Harbaugh. ESPN and other recruiting services know that Harbaugh is one of the best at player evaulation.
didn't you?

This is actually a good point. A lot of time guys with either some physical development to do or some technique work are the ones who end up as the best prospect when it's time to graduate. Guys who are done growing and who have excellent coaching in HS might be field-ready when they hit campus but will likely be much closer to their ceilings. I'll take a physical freak who is adding size to his frame, who has only been playing for 2 years, who Harbaugh and co. think they can mold into a player, any day of the week. And due to inexperience/technique or size they often come out of HS as middling 3 stars.
Remmeber getting into an argument with Helmholdt a few years back over Big Will. I said he might have the strength and body for a 5* but what I saw on the film was a very big player who stood straight up repeatedly and move straight ahead and people got out of his way due to natural instinct, survival, not because they were pancaked. He came back saying I had a prejudice toward the w. side which I certainly do not, and we all know who proved right.
Andrew, of the other hand, shows a young man who fires off the ball and gets into defenders quickly, ending in the cake very often. His pass rusing is suspect because he blocks like a boxer, allowing those with longer arms to get to close to him thereby mitigating the power he might have in his first hard contact by guaranteeing its as short as possible. However, this is one of the easiest fixes I can think of and I don't think it will take Drevno much time at all. Additionally, you cannot teach his size and strength that is going to continue to get better. I think its a fair ranking, but keeping him at 3 for awhile would not have been bad but I don't think he's going to quit working regardless.

you took wolverdog because Woflman was taken. I do know that Darden was a wolfman, but I grabbed the name to honor the last and as far as I am concerned, the best, in Don Dufek, Jr. I know all the hockey fans at that time like him because he was very good in that sport as well.
It was football though where I really thought he stood out. You have to be pretty special to be awarded that type of latitude. i think the role of Peppers this season, as I understand it, is real close.
There was just so much about Dufek I admired. Playing a game with a broken femur is one and there is one signature play I'll remember for as long as I breathe. MSU had a big, real big RB if I remember correctly, by the name of Levi Jackson who I think went about 235 lbs. Again, going on memory, I believe he is the one that scored the go ahead in MSU's last second victory over OSU in either '72 or '73. Michigan beat state that year but as the 10-0 score indicates, it wasn't a blowout. I remember clearly how on 3rd and one, if not everyone in the stadium knew where the ball was going, there were at least two, one was Jackson, of course, and the other was that AA safety from UM by the name of Dufek. This play epitomized why he was the Wolfman. As the qb was running thru his cadence, Don kept sneaking closer to the l.o.s., and exhibiting both excellent anticipation and perfect timing, he met Levi in the Offensive's RT hole which appeared open for about .2 seconds, no lolnger than that. In a tackle that could still be used as an example of perfect form tackling, he met him with his shoulder pads, wrapped with both arms, while lifting at the same time and whether he needed a yard or an inch would not have mattered. He deposited the larger man - I'm guessing by at least 30 lbs - on his backside, roughly 2 to 3 yards in the offensive backfield, thus ending the drive. An absolute stud. Someone has to be the last. I'm glad it was him.
So he's good now! Glad the staff got this one right, needed to hear from ESPN just to be sure...
After the first couple seriously negged comments, most people would just give it a rest.

Given his offer sheet, this ranking seems justified.

It's impossible for Jim Harbaugh to sign a 3-star. As soon as he shows interest, the recruit gets bumped to a 4/5-star.
His very act of evaluating a recruit's status, changes that recruit's status.
It's the "Harbaughberg Uncertainty Principle" at work.

and he saw talent all over Steuber.
I'm totally okay with him being a 4-star guy. Pretty much the only knock on him is being from Connecticut.
Why is being from CT a knock? Mike Cox was from CT. Everyone loves Mike Cox.
Connecticut isn't a high talent/high competition area. It's tough to be impressed by someone from there when they're consistently playing lower level talent, even if they are excellent otherwise.
While predicting how an o lineman will do in college is tough, the kid has a lot of offers. You don't get that many offers unless you have demonstrated a unique ability.
the underperformer actually being ranked higher than Mike, Jr., while in h.s.
