OT: Thunder/Warriors--Sharks/Pens [open thread]
some kinda big games with decently large implications going on right now.
-Thunder lead 48-42 at half.
-Sharks/Pens all square after two
UPDATE:
Warriors win 96-88. Curry-36 pts.
Pens win game 1 3-2.
It's not much of a conspiracy theory considering we know for a fact that previous NBA playoff games have been rigged.

Favor calls to teams, but not on purpose. It's just called bad offciating. We have it in every sport and every level.

Or they're just better.
Dagger.
Say goodnight, OKC.

You didn't think that was a foul on Ibaka? Those were Curry's only three FTs of the night.
Exactly.
You want the call based on the holding Ibaka was doing on Curry before the ball was inbounded, or the foul as Curry was in the act of shooting? The holding before the inbound was worthy of 10 yards in the NFL.
He is just SO lucky he holds nearly every three point record ever. How is he even a pro?
You don't win 73 games and come back from a 3-1 defecit just by being lucky my friend.

Curry is better period. Who cares if Lebron has a couple more tools in his arsenel. If you can shoot as ridiculous as Steph does every night like you're Spike Albrecht in the Natty you don't have to be 6'8'' and massive. I've never seen a player that's in more control of the outcome than he is. Most talented? No. But the skinny 6'3''kid has worked his ass off as hard as anyone out there and kept a level of confidence and mental toughness that LeBron has never needed to have. "The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have."-Vince Lombardi. Steph is doing more with the gifts he was born with than any other NBA player and most people. And if you can't respect that I don't understand how you are Michigan fan considering Harbaugh preaches the same things about getting the most out of someone's potential.

Curry forced Westbrook to shoot sub-25% shooting when he guarded him this series

I think it's a bit short-sighted to say that Curry doesn't add as much as LeBron. If we take sheer athleticism, then LeBron. Ability to guard all five positions, LeBron. If we get into ability to spread the floor out? Curry. Collapse a defense? Curry. Handles? Curry by a mile. Court vision? They both average the same assists over their career and distribute in ingenious ways based on their talents. It just depends on what we're measuring.
Who cares? Did you see OKC's defense on Steph? It was double teams off of every screen and he still made it splash on them. Cam Newton is also bigger, faster, stronger than Aaron Rodgers, doesn't mean he's better. Same thing with Steph and LeBron. It's not about talent. It's how you have direct control of the game at all times. Steph is playing untouchable. How do you stop a guy who you constantly have to defend 5 feet behind the arc? Who can dribble between his legs and behind his back in a vacuum. 402 three pointers. FOUR. HUNDRED. TWO. No one in NBA history has even hit 300 in a season. The second place guy is guess who? Steph Curry. I don't care if LeBron can lift a truck over his head. If he can't put the ball in the hoop as effciently as Curry he won't be better and he won't beat him, AGAIN, in the Finals.

If it weren't for Draymond I would be all for Golden State going for the repeat. But the prospect of him of all players potentially getting a second ring before KD and Russ even get one just seems particularly lame.
I see another 7 game series in the finals. LeBron gave GSW everything they could handle by himself and now he's got an actual healthy team. Not just him and Mathew Dellavedova out there by themselves.
You let one person who isn't even that bad of a dude(did you hear his postgame interview tonight?) ruin your experience of GS? He gave tons of props to Steven Adams and the Thunder. I'm not even a huge NBA fan I just don't understand why all the hatred to a team that is so fun to watch and plays at a level we may have never seen before. Whatever if people are talking trash, you must be doing something right.
It seems as though you're more bothered with the fact I don't particularly care for Draymond Green. Which is odd. Since this is a Michigan blog. And he played for MSU. I get things are obviously different once you reach the pros, but I wouldn't be the only person who doesn't care for his game.

But have you seen the Bad Boys documentary? They made Draymond look like a saint.

Oh and the Tigers are once again struggling on the west coast even with JV tossing a gem.
What a great night for my sports rooting interests.

I'd be happy with these NBA finals if there was a way for both #23s to be disqualified (more so Green tho)
LOL..guys hate a NBA team simply cuz of Day Day. That's classic. Anyways, I'd like to see KD get out of OKC and away from Russ. Dont think those two can ever win one on the same team.
KD needs a legit pass first PG or at least a wide open O that moves the ball instead of a lot of 1 on1 all game long.

IMO Durant just doesnt look comfortable with Russ these days. Both guys are alpha dogs and one needs to go for the better of both guys.
