I believe Stephen Spanellis is the one you're thinking of. He's from Gilman, same high school as Devery Hamilton and Poggi.

I'm sure we would've taken a commitment from him this summer or this spring when he was tweeting like he was committed, signed his LOI and was already taking classes.
I have to believe that either Swenson was going to have an issue getting in academically or something else on his end came up. There's no way I believe Harbaugh and Drevno suddenly thought they couldn't develop this kid into an OT or OG version of Graham Glasgow.

Give us the evidence that makes is "pretty clear" what they think of him. I have never seen any.

This is a good point, i guess he did have plenty of time to commit, i guess i liked how much he seemed to really be all in for M and really liked his film and wanted him in the class, blunder was probably a bit extreme wording.

Price has had an interesting recruitment. There was some EJ talk talk this spring I believe then he commited to GA. More recently I think he named a top 6 without UM in it. This would be a really out of nowhere get if it happened.

Who would you say was the last outof nowhere get or big surprise for us? It seems that in the past few years we had are classes defined before NSD so very few surprises, am I right?
I would like a big (positive) surprise for a change.

Yeah it seemed like Hoke liked to be done by August. A few guys got in there post November but not any out of blue guys I can really think of. But I have limited memory of 2008-2014. It was all just a dream.

seem to be leading to the recruitment of Price, I have faith in Harbaugh and I'm not going to criticize him or the coaching staff, this is a tough business and the weak get left behind unfortunately.
Whatever happens with Swenson, I wish him the best unless he's not a Wolverine and is playing against us.

I interpreted him as suggesting coaches who are weak (i.e., not willing to make difficult decisions like this one) will get left behind. I don't think he was suggesting the recruit is weak.

He has no plans of visiting at this stage. The staff hasn't recruited him for the last couple months, which again makes no sense since they obviously cooled on Swenson. It's highly unlikely that he ends up here.
