Michigan versus Indiana - open thread

Submitted by UM Fan from Sydney on

Go Blue, ladies and gentlemen. My predicted score in the guess the score game was 27-6 Michigan, but I think Indiana will score a little more than that. I also think Michigan will score a little more than 27. Revised prediction: 31 M, 20 I.

Also, it looks like rumors from yesterday about Green and Isaac are true, as they are not playing (or it might be that they didn't even make the trip). I am unsure, though, as I'm just stating what I saw on Twitter.

Not a whole lot of peppers on offense. Haven't needed him really. But it is absolutely huge to score a touchdown on our first drive here. 31-16 would take a lot of pressure off

This is a road game and Indiana offense is legit. Sudfeld is a good QB. They wouldn't have scored the last TD if not for that bad PI call on 3rd down, but they didn't call that against Indiana on the last drive.

So, I will take it given we don't are missing one of our best DL.

We are definitely the better team. Some stupid penalties hurt us, but I expect us to clean that up.

Refreshing to not throw in the towel with :47 left in the half.  Those are the small things that can turn into big things in close games.  What a difference a year and an entire coaching staff make.  Hopefully another difference is halftime adjustments, as in, I hope there are adjustments, especially on defense.

that there's a reason we went 5-7 last year and that is primarily the same team. Harbaugh is a better coach than Hoke yeah but that can cover up only so much.

I think some people expect Harbaugh to simply snap his fingers and it's peak Michigan again, That's not how it works.

How did Tressel do first season at OSU? How did Carroll do first season at USC? Unless the bed is made, you see *improvement* but you don't generally turn a non-bowl team into a Rose Bowl team overnight unless you get really really lucky. Michigan was pretty dysfunctional last year. Have people forgotten how embarrassing the Utah game or the Minnesota game were last year?

Michigan is already 2 wins better than it was last year and could add more. 8-9 wins even would be a really good first year.

Anyone who thought that hasn't been paying attention. Michigan has been awful on the road this year. Our games were:

-Loss at Utah

-Easy win at Maryland after struggling to go up 6-0 at half

-Nail-biter at Minnesota

-Nail-biter today

For whatever reason, this team cannot get focused on the road. The number of penalties clearly showed that today. I wish Harbaugh knew how to fix that. Luckily we only have 1 loss despite the struggles.

I just hope our defense can find some footing so that the second half doesn't shave days off my life.

Isn't just typical that Michigan finally hit some big passing plays, and it comes in a game where it almost hurts us. I'd love for some slow methodical 7 minute offensive drives in the second half. We need to choke the life out of this game Wisconsin basketball style.

The only time we pressured their QB was on a screen pass where they scored their TD.

Their OL is doing very well. Too well.

Come out at half time and scoring a TD will go a LONG way to winning this game.

Nice lead at half, but Indiana's offense is playing out of their freaking minds. Keep the pressure on, and we NEED to get some defensive stops.
