Yup. My son's 23rd birthday and his older brother, younger brother, me, the avatar and the avatar's sister and boyfriend are gonna be at the house to watch the game and celebrate.

And I'm making the Southern pork ribs from Seth's 9-15 column for dinner. FYI-if you haven't tried Stubbs BBQ (and I hadn't till yest) you should. They're amazing.

Go blue and happy birthday Evan!

I was walking out to the garage to get the tvs and tap fridges fired up and to get the grill out, and to text my friends "bars open" and to set up the tables and chairs, and to put out the Cornhole boards, and then I stopped, took in a deep, crisp breath, and visibly cast it back out into the autumn air. This is the first day I've opted for jeans. I wait for it like a child waits for Christmas. We truly are in that four month stretch we spend the other eight months waiting on.

I stopped again. Took another breath. And secretly wiped a couple tears from my eyes.

It is, in fact, a great fucking day to be alive.

This is a big one. Disrespekt all you want but the Spartans will be a great hurdle; we all know what this game means to those guys. Things are much improved in Ann Arbor though, here's to continued meteoric rising...

I am going to chop down a couple trees and split firewood today. If I sit on the couch I am going to go bonkers from the wait. Air is crisp and cool. Fridge full of beer.

Excellent day to be alive indeed

Time for REVENGE. My wife said "I hope it's a good close game. ". I said "I don't. I hope we win by 109 points and yank on Connor Cooks face mask while he lies unable to defend himself at the bottom of a pile. "
She looked at me like I was crazy. Because I am.
Sparty's street fighter mentality has owned us and it's to pay them back.
Sorry if this offends u...

*i dont want cook to be hurt or anything but the Sparty arrogance and shit I've heard for the last 6 years has become unbearable.

Close game? Why on earth would anyone wish for that? I want them to feel the weight of their insignificance. I want them to realize, after hours of punishment, that their little dreams of national importance and respect are dying and not so slowly. I want Dantonio to drink his body weight in Miralax and still not be able to get over the sh*t we're about to deal him.

That's all. GO BLUE!

Really? I am stuck living in Michigan and will have to put up with those damn Staee fans running their mouths all year again about how they "own" Michigan. With the game in East Lansing next year Michigan won't have a good chance to win until 2017. I wish I was dead.

all you guys.  I love Michigan football.  I love Jim Harbaugh.  I love October 17, 2015 because Staee is going down.  I'm gonna yell at my tv, crush beers, and go out to celebrate after the win.

I told both my daughters (4 and 6) this is the biggest regular season game since before you guys were born.  No Ally and Austin and no Jessie today when you are in the same room as daddy. Daddy watches Sportscenter, Gameday, and all things Michigan.

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I'd still choose to be a Michigan alum. Good thing that's not going to happen. A new era of Michigan dominance may start today. It may start next year, Either way, we know that under Harbaugh's leadership, that outcome is inevitable. And so does Staee. GO BLUE!

I don't know if we win today. I just know that if State wins today, that means they'll have earned it. And I can live with that.

Harbaugh will not let them walk all over us like they've done the last few years. If State wins today, they'll have to play their best game of the season. Harbaugh is coming into this game looking to come down on MSU like the Hammer of Thor.

Be ready for a war, ladies and gentlemen.

This is where we are in Harbaugh's first year. We have a legitimate chance to beat Sparty. We have the best coaching staff in the country. We will be ready to play! Go Blue!!

Has anyone seen the wallpaper of Wolverine (of x-men fame) facing off against the 300 Spartans with his claws drawn? Does it exist? Am I imagining?
