New bowl projections: Michigan vs Arizona
weekly thread.
ESPN: Michigan vs Arizona in the game that would make the universe explode. I don't think the space-time continuum could handle that game. That would easily be the biggest Holiday Bowl in the last 25 years.
Another ESPN projection has Michigan vs Texas A&M in the Citrus Bowl. 20 year anniversary of the last time they met in a bowl game.
SB Nation: Michigan vs Georgia in the Citrus Bowl
CBS: Michigan vs Missouri in the Outback Bowl. Missouri just beat UCONN in a 9-6 barnburner.

Feel much better attempting that with this coaching staff since they seem more in tuned to countering a spread offense. Would be interesting to see what RR would pull out.

"This should go well" is underused around here these days! I love it and use it all the time.

There is still a possibility that we finish a tier or two above Arizona in bowl bids. That's why doing projections for bowls in September is stupid, but, hey, ESPN.

Especially Arizona, Missouri and Georgia. All teams we haven't played in decades or ever (been since the 60's or 70's for Mizzou?)
Michigan and Georgia's uniforms on the same field would be a CLASSIC sight to behold.
That Holiday Bowl would be the highest-rated non-BCS bowl in history.

We played Missouri in Bo's first season. They actually delivered one of his worst losses ever (40-17).

People were questioning who's this Bo guy. It even got worse when he went on the road and lost to unranked MSU by 10. But then Bo really pulled that season out of the fire with a huge win against OSU! Who knows, may be Harbaugh could do the same but Bo was an unknown coach and there was a surprise factor there!

Missouri was a powerhouse back then and, even worse, they were a big player in recruiting in Michigan throughout the 60's, counting Lloyd Carr as one of their local takeaways.

This has been our bowl projection every year since RichRod took over at Arizona.

I am not in the crowd that harbors hatred for RR. That said I have less than zero desire for that matchup.

lol until the Michigan vs Rich Rod matchup happens, we will hear this over and over and over and over.
Might as well just make it happen so the media can move on to some other stupid agenda

Yeah, you're probably right. I mean, who wouldn't want to see a MSU vs Pitt matchup in a couple years? What about Wisconsin vs. Arkansas? Oregon State vs Wisconsin? Youngstown State vs Nebraska? If Brady Hoke becomes a coach somewhere, we will undoubtedly get to see one of the most hyped up and boringest football matches Michigan will ever play in, two teams running up the middle three times and then punting over and over.

Would win that game!
Gooo Baxter!

Wisconsin vs. Arkansas would be kinda interesting actually. I would watch

Only problem about thar matchup is that Narduzzi left on good terms. All those other matchups involve either a fired HC or a HC that left with no warning.
BTW, I would live on FauxPelini's Twitter feed for a whole month if that YSU/Neb matchup ever happened.
