Brady Hoke to co-host radio show on SiriusXM
Wonder if he'll ever get back into coaching?
Former U-M coach Brady Hoke has joined SiriusXM College Sports Nation. Will co-host a radio show twice a week during the season.
— Josh Henschke (@HenschkeScout) August 13, 2015
Hoke will host SiriusXM College Sports Today twice a week (9:00 am – 12:00 pm ET) throughout the college football season alongside Mark Packer. He will make his debut on the channel this Tuesday, August 18.
SiriusXM College Sports Nation is available nationwide on channel 84 on satellite radios, on the SiriusXM app and online at SiriusXM.com.
“SiriusXM College Sports Nation is an outstanding place for those of us who have been involved in the game to connect with fans and talk about everything happening in the world of college football,” said Hoke. “I’m excited to join the SiriusXM team and begin working with Mark Packer.”

You know, I bet he will have more of a personality on radio. Well, the players say he was fun and joked around. Well it might come out if he is talking about things he's prepared for. You know, this might be a good move for him.

I get the impression that the only audience for the show will be people that like to make fun of Hoke.

Well if they did it must have been his wife answering the questions, as Brady Hoke chooses not to use email and thus shares an account with her.

3-4 years ago Hoke was pooping gold, the best recruiter ever, going to win a national championship in 2015, recruits come in pairs, the second coming of Bo, a Michigan man and now he's too stupid to talk on the radio.... He's the same guy he was 3-4 years just afew million dollars richer, that doesn't sound dumb to me

you're a sucker for YouTube, that's clear. FWIW I feel the same way about that particular video.

I remember watching the video of him speaking to a coaches workshop. He was comfortable, in command of his topic, and all in all pretty entertaining. Handling press conferences when things are going poorly or there have been negative or controversial events, is very different than talking about a game for which you are not responsible or providing general football commentary.
Yeah he didn't deliver here, but he truly loves Michigan and dedicated everything he had to try to restore the program. As far as has been revealed, no one here has the inside scoop on exactly what challenges he faced. He wasn't as good a coach as we hoped, but he wasn't as bad as many here believe. Besides, without Hoke we wouldn't have ended up with Harbaugh. It's been a long strange trip for Michigan football, and while it's not over, we can see the end of the tunnel.

Are they going to let him break down practice film?
"Wellll... As you can see here, the quarterback is practicing tremendously. And here, well, that wideout's got a little bit of a boo-boo, but he's executing well."

DC is a hard sell for a guy who not only failed in his dream job on the big stage, but also has never been a coordinator at the college level.
Really, it's hard to think of a perfect scenario of where Hoke ends up next that isn't either broadcasting or a mid-major or lower-tier major school taking a chance on him to be head coach.

of the evidence to date, I am not intrigued.

either.

I would listen just to see if he tells some new stories about his experience at Michigan. More on the personal level as far as recruiting visits and relationships with players.

Yes would love to hear some of his Dave Brandon stories...but the guy is just a loyal soldier and I don't think he would hever spill any beans about anyone.

Those guys usually do well on radio. He probably will be good natured about his coaching exploits and have lots of insight and funny stories.
I predict he will be back in coaching a year from now too.

I hope Brady does well and wish him the best ... but I am having trouble mentally taking what I've heard him do and seeing how that translates positively to a talk show.
