To the Noon kickoff haters-

This is just a fact. Regardless of if they want more time to party or study, your best crowd is going to be a 3:30 or night game.
Of course, it is UNLV and probably any UNLV / (your Big Ten team here) ends up on the BTN at noon, so of all the games on the schedule, this one was easily a noon kick on a network which - by agreement - gets the seconds of the ESPN / ABC cut. Not shocked at all. I'll be there, of course - I've never seen UNLV attempt football before.
Nothing says sloppy seconds like a noon game on BTN.
I want Michgian to have as few of these as possible. Let Purdue and Illinois have them.
This is hopefully the first of three straight Noon games.
UNLV is in the Mountain time, so it'll be a 10am game for them.
Is liking Noon games the WD equivalent of hipsters wearing porn staches?
No, it's me liking what I like.
Since 1pm kicks aren't a thing anymore "Toe meets leather at 12 o'clock!" is the closest we'll get to the original Bo quote.
I am happy to see a noon game.
Now just need to add Oregon State and BYU as noon games as well.
Yep, love this gif.
It is an all-timer. The source is also great.
Noon kick? Hooray!

Noon games are awesome. Out here they turn into 9AM games, and there's no better football than kegs and eggs football brunch.
That sounds hauntingly familiar. Getting old sucks.
Mid 30's is not old and they certainly do not suck. Save that talking point for when it counts.
I wish I could even sleep until 7:30. I hate getting old!
I'm a morning person on the left coast and I hate noon/9am games. 12:30 is a much better time to watch football!

The Game is at Noon every year.

As was 2002.
2004 and 2005 was at 1PM
Trust me, I know about the 2006 game. I still remember that week vividly, almost 9 years later.
I also remember the 1pm starts on ABC Sports (RIP).
1pm used to be the Noon of ABC Sports before ESPN raped it of its individuality as a brand.
What I'm saying is that, unless it's another #1 vs #2, The Game will never not be played at Noon again.

How relevant did you think it was going to be?
I wondered that, too... but no. Seems they actually played a 13-game schedule. For some reason, I thought the NCAA limited it to 12? Or am I missing something here?

Very relevant. Because they are playing Michigan.

Noon games suck. I hate getting up at 8 am.

I'm torn. I personally prefer noon starts. But the last 4 years, noon starts means the student section is going to be roughly 60% empty in the first quarter ...and that's an embarrassing sight to behold.
At least with 3:30 starts, the student section is only 30% empty.
It will be interesting to see if a return to relevance brings back crowds for noon games. In 2006 we had plenty of noon games and it was always packed before kick. We were also #2 overall heading into OSU.
Now the social media age has come pretty far since 2006, but I guarantee the drinking/partying isn't any wilder. Just wake up early and start drinking by 7 kids! Then you get your nice mid-afternoon nap before heading back out! It's perfect!
