Equipment: White socks vs Blue socks
Blue or White socks at home?
It looks like White socks are back if you go by what we saw in the spring game and every single spring practice.
I'm pretty happy because that's Michigan has always wore prior to 2003 when Blue socks were introduced.
White socks at home like the old days
And on the road
Blue socks were introduced in 2003, team-wide.
What do you think? White or Blue socks?
What would Heisman-winners do?
I researched and found that Woodson wore white, Howard wore white and oddly, Harmon wore gray (along with a black jersey and black and gray helmet).
White White
Gray
Agreed, I'm going with blue. White is minimally acceptable, and only on the road.
The high white socks remind me too much of 70 year old men wearing tube socks with shorts.

But because we were good with the white socks, people are going to say white...like it made a difference.
Also like the maize and blue cleats over black.

...it says "I'm highly touted, but I'm underutilized"
Blue socks generally better, but without a good picture I can't tell if blue socks would look weird with the road uniforms.

Blue socks. I also prefer the length of the socks to be on the shorter end, but I get that when it gets cold they would prefer the knee high socks.

Blue. White socks make the players look like they're back in the 80s and archaic. Not to mention white is just random when our colors are maize and blue.
....for both Home & Road. I never liked the blue socks - I felt that we lost an important aspect of our traditional uniform (like the black shoes) that distinquished us from everyone else.
White socks and black shoes distingushed us from everyone else?
Think about what you just said.
....everyone went with white shoes except Michigan, Penn State and USC. Even schools like Alabama, Texas and Notre Dame, schools steeped in "old school" football traditions, went with the white shoes trend of that time.
And the poster acts like having blue socks and maize and blue cleats isn't original, like every other school is wearing that combo and we're just one of the rest.
It was a weird statement on both levels.
White socks are better
White socks with blue socks underneath them are the best

That's all well and good, but what if they wear pink tu-tus?
Unless you're wearing long pants, dark socks are a embarrassing fashion faux pas.

Beat me to it.
I also love the idea of it being an ode to the Fab 5.
Especially since in some of the recruiting tweets I've seen #Fab25
^Upvoted, because Minor Threat.

I like the white but I dont like the full white sock. I would prefer it to be half or I like the half white with the blue under spandex pant, makes it look like the NFL 2 tone socks.
I wouldn't mind seeing us go back to white socks. They looked okay, and it would bring back some history. I also like the look of the blue socks.
Maize socks with an all maize uniform. A man can dream can't he?
