Harbaugh with the First Lady
Coach continues to make headlines. I open Google news as I get to work and there he is on the very top.

He's speaking with Michelle Obama in Detroit on the importance of education.
My first forum post hope I'm not beaten to the punch while typing.
just adding to his legacy. This man has lived quite the life since coming to Ann Arbor a few months ago
American-hating Muslim communist? Interesting to learn!
(FYI, this was done entirely sarcastically, to hopefully preempt the large number of needlessly political comments that are sure to follow...:-D )
Posting a political comment, even one which you label sarcastic - though I'm dubious if it really was -, is not an effective means to thwarting other political comments.
This is an outstanding event, a great cause, wonderful that M's football coach is involved. When they cancelled the Women's Football Academy they said one of the things they were doing in its place was Detroit outreach. It's critical and it's great to see this underway.
Beat me to the punch, and better done anyway!
Poe's law obviously, but I don't doubt the authenticity of that poster's sarcasm. You would think the kind of person who truly believes the whole "muslim communist" thing would stand by those opinions.
Sarcasm or no, mentioning the topic (particularly from one viewpoint only) is sure to entice others to join in. It is a self-defeating comment by way of being a self-fulfilling prophecy. It belies an inability to think of events through a lens other than the media-generated political concepts.
Yes, this is way too harsh. Oh well.
Excuse me? Didn't know? I believe the answer is quite simple:
HARBAUGH

I think that we're getting back to the point where our head coach is going to be a larger than life figure. I felt Bo had that aura and Harbaugh seems to be heading there, off the field, thus far. I obviously have high hopes for him on the field but had no idea that he would be such a presence in just about everything off the field when we got him. Despite being semi-controversial on some things, he has been a full fledged asset since he has touched down in Ann Arbor.
Just by the very nature of the 24 hour news cycle, he has the opportunity. Throw in his NFL success and his personality and he has surpassed Bo in at least making sure everyone knows who he is.
Urban Meyer would have been there, but his players ain't come here to play school.
then you corrupt our coach and savior?
Thanks Obama...
unless you were missing the /s
He could've kept it to himself. We no haz good things on here because some idiots don't deserve them.
First Judge Judy, then Michelle O, next... the Queen of England
Sounds like MGoViso needs to MGoTakeANap.
Outstanding way to show a commitment to education. Parents of athletes, many of whom likely admire Obama, will love this.
So there's some knob out there who hates the idea of Harbaugh talking about education in Detroit, but is too much of a fucking coward to actually post a comment explaining why. Drive-by anonymous neggers are pussies.
I'm pretty sure Harbaugh, like Bo, has what would widely be regarded as right wing political views. But I'm certain his support for sports and education is bi-partisan, and his dedication transcends politics. I think the driveby neggers are ultra-purists who are offended by this.

I totally thought the same thing. Given JMFH's status as King of all CFB news, it was logical to assume his Dockers-loving wife would be the designated First Lady.
have problems with double posts?
we're never there!
