Wichita State has a great defense! It give me hope next season for Michigan, if they can play great defense they will not need a 7 foot center!

Wichita State is fun to watch. I watched them twice this year, both games against northern Iowa. I really like how they play. I enjoy watching Self feel pain too.

I absolutely love it when an "inferior" or "mid/low major" team rises up and kicks in the teeth of the "bully'  or "big team" on the block.  Being a Butler alum, I know how it feels when the big schools (IU,  Purdue, etc... ) won't schedule you or flat out refuse home and homes.  Bobby Knight used to come to Hinkle until we beat them one year back in the early 90's.  I don't think they've been back to Hinkle since.   We still get them at the crossroad classic occasionally.

I envy the feeling that must be going through Wichita State fans right now.  Sucks we couldn't pull it out against ND.   I would have loved to see Butler vs Wichita State next week plus I think we could have taken them or at least matched up decently (much better than we would have against Kansas).  In the end, its still the Kentucky region so there's that elephant in the room.

I am not sure how many people talked up Gonzaga, but their road to the Final Four and Title Game for that matter is a pretty damn good one.     If there was any year for Gonzaga to break through and get that elusive chance at a title, it looks like this year could be their best chance ever.

I'm just hoping Oregon would just take a damn breath and think every once in a while i have seen so many long two's maunched at 28 seconds left on the shot clock that it's starting to make my eye twitch.

can't say I'm too optimistic about them beating Sparty.

Oklahoma sort of reminds me of Maryland, but with a less good PG and slightlier sturdier heft on the blocks. But similar blend of size of guys in the rotation, strength of their players/levels of athleticism. Their bigs are slightly less tall than Maryland's, but sturdier.

So, I mean, they could beat them, but I'm not optimistic.

I do think that anyone from the NC State/No. Iowa/Louisville group is a bad matchup for Sparty, with Louisville maybe being the best matchup because they can be ice cold from outside.

I think you are a bit in the moment still.

Oklahoma is a pretty solid team.

Virginia was beyond pathetic at shooting.

Also, if you recall Maryland beat them twice.  Fairly easily the second matchup.  It seems as though Michigan State is the only team that can win 1 of 3 agaisnt a team in a season and somehow that 1 is the only game remembered.

did you all see Atkins' take on his UVA teammates performance???

I know you're not supposed to use that word, but man, he said his teammates played like p******.

They really did play so soft.

I know it's not Bennett's style, but he needed to break something in one of those huddles. That team needed a foot up its collective ass.

Trimble just got lit up on a moving screen. That naturally wasn't called. That was basically a blind sided football block. How terrible can you be at your job to miss that?

Weird year for Maryland.  They won 28 games, but didn't win the league title, or conference tourney, or make it to the Sweet 16.  I guess it's still a good year overall but probably not that satisfying for their fans at the moment.
