Cardale Jones thinking of declaring?
Cardale Jones on entering the NFL Draft: “It’s definitely a ‘who knows’ right now. It’s up in the air right now.”
That sure sounds like a guy with one foot out the door. He would be smart to leave. His stock will never be this high again. If he stays at OSU he will have Barrett behind him and if he struggles he could end up on the bench.

that put away Michigan and then mowed down Wiscy, Bama, and Oregon.

I didn't think about that as the clock ran down, but Jones declaring would be an interesting move for someone who was - before this past November - primarily known for an ill-conceived tweet which went viral inside of 15 seconds. I do have to wonder though - even if Jones did declare, is there a team that takes a chance on him just based on his postseason performance since that's more or less all the data you have? I would think a lot of teams would want to see him earn the starting role and play a season at least, but that might not happen with Barrett there.

He proved he is a baller. And he should go pro. Besides, he will no longer have to worry about that education thing he lamented about a few years ago.

It'd help answer a lot of questions about OSU at QB too. Of course, it could sting OSU really bad if Jones declares and Miller transfers. That's the worst case scenario. Best case is all 3 stay, but I think it's likely that Miller transfers and the other 2 stay.

He was given an offer he can't refuse as an ex FSU player tweeted he would hook him up with his porn star friends if he did transfer to FSU. The details are posted in a NY POST article.
Warm weather. Porn Stars. Who wouldn't want to transfer to FSU?

Matt Cassel never even started a game at USC. His career numbers at USC were 20-33 for 192 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT, and 11 rushes for 92 yards. Yet, he was still drafted (7th round). With the demonstration of talent he presented the last three games and with the possibility to further showcase his talent at the combine, he easily could be a 2nd through fourth round pick (depending on performance at the combine).

Wiscy, Bama, and Oregon.
Barrett played a bunch of cream-puffs and MSU. (Sadly, we were a cream puff.) Playskool just mowed down Murderer's Row.
Playskool is the better QB.

I'm not sure how many teams would take a player with only 3 starts under his belt though.

When you see a guy that can mow down Murderer's Row in his first three collegiate starts, you just might be onto something.

Go for it Cardale. Think of your family.

Cardale Jones has won 3 games by handing the ball off (they ran the ball 61 times last night) and throwing it up and letting his receivers win jump balls.
I think the NFL would pass on him right now.

3 premier QBs. What to do? I only wish we had that problem.

Barrett is a beast, but I'm in no position as a Michigan fan to turn down "help" when we can get it.
January 13th, 2015 at 9:32 AM ^
Frick Eric Ebron went in the first and he can't even catch the ball. Trent Richardson went in the first and he is slow and lazy.
I would take him in the 2nd / 3rd if you have an aging star QB. I agree that sitting behind Braxton and JT Barrett would cause problems.
It will take 2 years on the bench before he is completely ready though. Get paid to go to NFL school.
Bigger than Kaepernick. Stronger arm than Kaepernick. A little slower than Kaepernick but hey they should not be running that much anyway.

won't transfer. As a junior he will likely start next year with sophmore Barrett at backup. Miller will transfer with 2 years remaining of eligibility. Oregon's poor defensive play made Jones look better than he is. Pretty much threw to wide open receivers or long bombs never to a 2nd or 3rd option. He is not ready for the pros. Wishful thinking that he is going pro. Michigan has the talent and now the coaching to beat Meyers team's. Don't be fooled last night's game is as much about how poorly Oregon played as it is about how well bucky played.
