CC: Harbaugh, Miles and . . . Stitt?
For those of you looking for your daily fix of CC non-information to latch onto, per a tweet from Baumgardner, Michigan's new AD just started "following" the following coaches on Twitter: Harbaugh, Miles, Holgorsen and . . . Bob Stitt.
Here's thw tweet:

RT @nickbaumgardner: Twitter's something, folks ... Michigan's AD just followed Jim Harbaugh, Les Miles, Bob Stitt and Dana Holgorsen.

He implemented the Slow-Moe effect... or the reverse of that. I can't decide which.

We need Wolverine Devotee to post a grainy picture of an email alledgedly from Jim Harbaugh saying he's coming to Michigan just as soon as the NFL season is over. Then we just sit back and let the magic happen.

Just going by followings we also better prepare for Lena Dunham at DC or OL coach or something.

Surprisingly enough, I can actually see that working...

She would definitely bring that culture change everyone has been asking for.

Someone would of course ask what sort of person we were getting in her then since, by her own admission in her account summary, she was sent to the princpal's office for putting a cheese doodle in her belly button. That's begging for a thread down the line about potential character issues here, right?

Bob Stitt as OC would awesome. Bob Stitt as HC would not be so awesome.
November 6th, 2014 at 10:59 AM ^
Shame that it's fake. If the AD were even aware of Bob Stitt that would be a positive sign considering that the last guy (Brandon) seemed pretty unwilling to even look at innovative guys at lower levels.
Not that Stitt would be high on my list for head coach or that I'd want the AD hiring our coordinators, but it would be a good sign that Hackett is at least willing to cast a wide net and consider many options.
November 6th, 2014 at 11:15 AM ^
Casting such a wide net would indicate to me a lack of confidence in getting the top choices and an inclination to be cheap. Of course, it had to be fake. We're not going to have job searches done using Twitter. They'll be done in secret.

rather than deciding immediately HARBAUGH MILES OR BUST.
It would be impressive for an AD to know who Bob Stitt is and what he does; it doesn't mean the AD would shoot Stitt to the top of a head coaching search. it just means more overall knowledge is good.
November 6th, 2014 at 12:37 PM ^
knowledgeable about college coaches is a plus. The problem is that there is only one way to judge someone like Stitt as a HC candidate. That is as a huge gamble. Michigan can't afford that, especially now.
I want our AD to keep an open mind about style of play and Michigan connections. I don't want him to have an open mind about hiring someone without a strong track record at a high level. I don't want him to think that there's any advantage to getting someone cheap. There's a good middle ground between limiting your search to two or three names and casting a wide net down to Div. 2.
November 6th, 2014 at 12:50 PM ^
Stitt I'm pretty sure has said he wants to try head coaching at the FBS level but that he'd take an offensive coordinator job if it was the right one. I have to think Michigan would qualify there if they came calling to gauge his interest.
November 6th, 2014 at 1:26 PM ^
What coach would accept that? Should he make some suggestions to the HC he hires? I don't know. I would think our coach would have his own ideas.

Sidenote: I really think that if the next Michigan coach pursued Bob Stitt as an OC he would probably take the job because Michigan OC>>>D2 HC. Chuck Martin went from GVSU HC to ND OC.

Can we take down this thread now so that people don't believe this, some aren't going to read all the way down to see that it was a fake account.
