I don't worry about his number, but i certainly hope he carefully follows the washing/drying instruction label, that jersey looks like it would almost fit my 10 year old daughter.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I think getting worked up about jersey numbers is kinda silly. Guys will wear numbers. Most of them will be different from other ones.
Maybe they can just give each player his own unique alternative jersey. Shoulder stripes for you, piping for you, some kind of foam latex body suit for that guy.
I was hoping he'd choose π
If anyone really thinks his success or failure at Michigan will depend on what number he is wearing, you must be joking. Right? RIGHT?
Maybe he can wear 4.32 and skip right to the NFL combine???
I just read this whole thread...wow. I'm always on this site but never post, but after seeing everyone freak out about numbers I just have to say...everyone just cool out. It's been said by others but get over it. They can hand out whatever number they please. Good for Peppers.
Meanwhile the one on the left is absolutely a #1 jersey. The arm proves it begins with a one. The chest numeral (because it displays a numeral whose right border extends as an unbroken block from the top until the picture ends halfway down its length) is only consistent with a "1", so it appears the jersey is either a #1 or a #11. But the most telling trait of all is the fact that the chest numeral is centered *precisely* under the midline Adidas logo.
That tells us that the arm numeral is the only numeral.
I want to know who #3 is! 3 is like 2+1 combined!
I hope they give Peppers the #2 jersey, especially if they even hinted at it during recruiting. Then again I also thought Gallon should have worn #1 last year...he earned it. No disrespect to #21 intended.
I think every locker had a jersey hanging in it. Notice how there's no plate on #1 though?
Because I have to pretend I have a fandom limit in order for people to take me seriously, I'm going to believe you.
This ruler in my hand? Um, I'm measuring the diameter of my coffee mug. Does it look too wide to you?
No doubt I'm a fan and that brought me in reach of a question about a barely visible Michigan jersey. But my tendency to try to answer it the way I've been--to be quasi-verbose, detail-oriented, equivocate where necessary, and express myself at least semi-quantitatively so long as it's possible--are more emblematic of my occupational hazards than my fandom problems. Though there's no doubt I have those problems..

but I think that all of the "#1" talk was a reference to a show called "The Prisoner" and not an actual statement about the #1 jersey
who is 24601?
